I support this person. His teaching style and the way he speaks shows intelligence and everything is very straightforward and clean. With very clear examples, shows mastery of the character he is trying to teach us.
Concise, well spoken, and well researched man you make amazing tip videos and guides. Plus I would say these are more advanced tips that only experienced players can put into use, especially the hitstun tip, it's good to see a tips video that isn't just what's on the move set.
@@verrat3219 I think it was a joke, the dodge forward light is a really good opener that skip to the last attack in a chain. A lot of baby/lightspam kenseis will religiously use it for easy acess to a hyper armored light.
The superior block forward dodge is extremely useful when fighting opponents who try to over utilize crushing counter lights. I learned this today and is extremely punishing to to heroes with cc lights
Thanks, at first i didnt know kensei was this much more complex, I thought he was just able to do was spam light attacks. Im going to start incorporating these moves bc higher rep players know how to counter kensei.
Thank you for this lesson I didn't know how to unblockable bash with kenshi and the amount of combos I could do I knew most buh where there's failure there's room for improvement
Kensei should have pummel strike as an option combo light to pummel strike to light or heavy or fainted heavy into guard brake , top unblockable to soft feight , it would make him so much better
Add one: dash forward light and then forward light again quickly after as soon as u see orange. It sometimes has tracking and ppl never expect it the only bad thing about it is sometime it accidentally hard block or rarely parry it.
About the hitstun rules on the side psuedo deflects, it says Berserker HL and Jorm. Does that mean it only works on them or that it works on all vikings except them?
So the pseudo deflects only work on the hero’s that weren’t written down like jorm jj and hito?or the hero’s that were :o I’ve bine doing it for years and I never fully confirm what hero it does and doesn’t work on
@@manniboi_drache1651 He wrote in the video. He either wrote the only ones it works on, or he wrote everyone except certain heroes. For simplicity's sake I assume
@@manniboi_drache1651 Sorry for the confusion. For the Vikings, it works on Zerk, HL and Jorm. For the other factions, the characters listed in the video, are NOT affected by the deflect. Everyone else is. So characters like Warden and Black Prior are affected by the deflect.
I just started playing kensei, almost rep 1. I thank you for trying to convert the petty spammers into actual players. I'm trying to help break the stereotype. Even made a friend fighting like a normal person
For newer players, this is a somewhat confusing guide to follow. Not saying the information isn't laid out well, it's just trying to understand all the terminology while keeping up with the info is somewhat overwhelming. Regardless, appreciate the video - I'm trying to get better at this game.
hi there i have kinda weird question, i just started playing For Honor and i play Kensei and ive noticed on youtube some of the guys in the videos play kensei without his shoulder guards i shoud say? i apologize if its not correctly english is not my first language so i still have many holes in my vocabulary i just might be seriously stupid and its totally easy so please if anybody knows, id appreciate you telling me thank you very much
love you video bud but if youre saying that pommel bash is his best opener that says a lot about how underpowered he is. also correction his deflect does not put players in recovery against shamans zone and any kind of recovery any hero has be it dodge or blockade or wall and various other specific attacks and situations. you say that his deflects are the safest, you can time a forward dodge a few millaseconds before a top light and still get a deflect, yet , he has always been and still is the only hero in the game with deflect or superior dodge property that does not guarantee damage and can actually be punished by bulwark or any recovery seriously, think about these facts, before one goes as far to say he has the safest deflects in the game .
I'm not sure if you have noticed, but this video is a year old. Since For Honor is a live service game, it has balance changes all the time. A lot of this info and properties on Kensei's dodge did hold true until balance changes made his superior block dodges a lot less safe to go for. At the time, even if his superior block didn't guarantee damage. Kensei having his long superior block duration and generous input window for his dodge attack, made him the safest character to go for deflects, even if it didn't guarantee damage. It would, at the very least, stop chain attacks. However, like I said. This is no longer true due to balance changes.
beginner friendly another way to say he cant do much really hes basic af hes not complicated theres not a lot he can do. you have to be good to main this hero

Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate the compliments.
@@BlazoLord I appreciate the high quality videos. :)
you forgot to mention that at a higher skill level, it is technically possible to do a dodge forward light
It took me longer to discover how to Pommel Strike as Kensei, than how to dodge forward light. I abuse the hell out of that move.
@@BlazoLord isnt dodge forward light a move in kensei movelist? what am i missing?

Why no nature's wrath
Sorry not today. Be every other day. Absolutely!
what buttons do you press to use the first move?
Top Heavy. Then Guard Break mid heavy, you need to press this Guard Break early and literally interrupt your heavy attack to change the move.
And by so fast had no idea

It depends on the arms gear you are using on Kensei. At higher reputations, you will get better gear and unlock different looks and designs.
How did u get a skin like that?
I wish there was a button history cuz idk how tf u do these
That's a really good suggestion, actually. Ubisoft, get on this shiz.
Sadly I don't think Ubisoft will change anything lol
