A walk thru time, for me, watching this great video. I was stationed at Yokota and lived at Johnson way back in 1967. Had many local friends there. One in particular, owned the Napori Bar in Saitama. Enjoyed this very much. Great !!

What a strange and interesting place. It's weird that it almost feels like a theme park area "America Land" or something, but is actually a real place with lots of history.

Yes, I think so too. And it's an interesting place because people live there.
地元の人間です。私も今日散歩に行きました。意外に小さな敷地なのですぐに見終わってしまったのではないでしょうか？個人的には「逍遥館」という古本屋さんがオススメです。ちなみに途中にあった王冠のような建物は「配水池」です。水が詰まっています。
