  • 2024 RV Trip - Colorado. Week 2 in Fort Collins.
We did some more biking and a little hiking at nearby Lowry State Park. We went fishing twice with no success. We’re going to go to a tackle shop and purchase some more appropriate lures and keep trying. We drove the Cache la Poudre Scenic Byway which follows the Poudre River through Poudre Canyon. There are a number of river rafting outfitters in the area and we saw a lot of people on the river. We went as far as Cameron Pass which is about 5,200 feet higher than Fort Collins. The temperature in Fort Collins was 87 and the temperature at the pass was 61. On our return trip we stopped and had lunch at The Mishawaka, a well known combination restaurant/bar/music venue. It’s located right on the river and we watched the hummingbirds at their many feeders while we ate. We of course visited a few more breweries In Fort Collins. We spent one day just relaxing at camp and catching up on some television. We moved up to Estes Park where we’ll be for a week. We have several hikes and some scenic drives planned in Rocky Mountain National Park. We’re at just over 8,000 feet of elevation here. Our high temperatures will be in the 70’s and the lows in the 40’s.

VERY good video! The Poudre River brings back such great memories. A wonderful place to camp as well. 😀
