Tip: A weird quirk about Virgin is that all the places to get dessert close at 10pm. If you are the type of person that likes something sweet after dancing into the night, pick up some of the great desserts in the Galley during the day and put then in the fridge in your room.
I've watched a number of your videos involving VV. And I am pretty much exclusively a VV cruiser (+10 times). You present such an informative and fair view of your voyages. Should I ever desire to cruise another line, I'll be looking to your other videos to help me select. Trustworthiness is hard to come by on the internet, but you earned mine :)
Hey Cecil, and you just made my day! Thank you for this comment as it is very important to me to try and stick to the facts without embellishments, either positive or negative. I have thoroughly enjoyed cruising on Virgin Voyages and am excited to cruise with them more! I am on their May 26th sailing on Memorial day if you are there!
@@TheWeekendCruiser I'd very much like it if we met up sometime. I'm on this Sunday, then in June, and 2 more in December, but I'm sure I'll be booking more before the year's end. "Sea" you onboard!
Regarding the swingers thing, there was one TH-camr who claimed in an early video that he was approached. But that was the last I heard of it and I have been on 4 Virgin Voyages (soon to be 5). My next VV is sold out, so it will be interesting to see how they handle a full ship.
I always take everything I hear on TH-cam with a grain of salt! 😂😂. This past sailing they were around 2,100 i believe. Very close to full but a few hundred more people def makes a difference! Let us know how it goes!
We got approached by swingers while onboard (I was wearing a very nice tropical pineapple shirt and was told pineapple is the code for possibly being a swinger). They hand you a card with their group info. It didn't bother us, they were polite about it. We did the Dominican daze beginning of this month and it was tons of fun.
That is the right way to think about it. I would be blushing and extremely flattered! Though, I feel like this could happen on any ship given the way people purchase the drink packages! 😂
I don't know where this place you called "The Marketplace" is. The food court on the two existing VV ships is called "The Galley," and the breakfast is served all day and all night. (you said something about "when it is open."). Other food outlets in The Galley have different hours. Our cruise was only about 50% full, but we had no problem changing dinner reservations when we wanted to. You can change your reservation on the app (open app, see what is available, make change) or by doing a walk up and hoping for the best. If the restaurant you want doesn't have anything showing on the app, you can still try a walk up. My comment on the entertainment is that some is a little risque, while other options could be shown on Disney. There were also a couple of variety entertainers on our cruise, but that might have been because we were on a longer than usual sailing. The question I get most often is "Is it totally a party ship?" If you want to party, there is a party every night. But it won't interfere with your sleep, and there are many areas with more quiet music or activities. As with any other line, it is largely what you make of it. It isn't a party ship in the sense that Carnival is or was. Since there is no unlimited drink package, I really didn't see anyone who had "enjoyed' so much that they reached a point of being ugly or out of control.
Hey Kathryn, omg, I also have no idea where the marketplace came from! It is definitly called The Galley and I didn't catch that in the proof! Thank you for pointing out! You could cancel a reservation and then rebook again but with limited space available, I was scared it would be my luck I would cancel and then someone would take the last reservation somewhere else and I am left without. Couldn't agree more on it is what you make of it. You can come and relax or have a good time. And not having people over "enjoy" themselves is a HUGE plus to not having a drink package. I definitely had a great time and excited to go back!
Fluteloops was on our valiant lady caribbean mermaiden and i saw him over christmas busking on grafton st dublin 🤗🤗 Im looking forward to the valiant lady transatlantic in a few weeks 🤗
You are going to love it! Go with an open mind and think of cruising differently. It is a lot of fun but don't look for a lot of normal "traditions" there. They made their own!
Hi Brandon! What a fast paced short video that I really enjoyed. The food options sound so good that I’d love to eat at their restaurants at least three times per day! I imagine that there is some sort of restriction or everyone onboard wouldn’t be able to get their own reservations?
You are limited to one restaurant per night but several are open for lunch/brunch as well with a different menu. Try to eat at all of them if you can because the food is amazing.
Hey Brandon, great video, thanks! Will be doing my second Virgin Voyage in April & just wondering if the menus are the same as last year or if they’ve been updated at all. Thanks!
Hey Dan, the menus were still the same from when I was there 6 months ago including Test Kitchen. The Wake and Pink Agave are probably my 2 favorites at this time. The Doradad (spelling) the fish baked in a salt bread basket with brown butter is amazing.
Is it possible that you are enjoying yourself a little more than when you repeated the same or similar cruises every weekend or maybe you had been under a lot of stress that’s now behind you? I can’t remember, but pardon me if I ask you if your father recently passed away? I’m sorry that I can’t keep it straight.
Hey Mitchell, you are correct, dad passed away earlier this month and this was my first cruise after loosing him. I think I just enjoy Virgin Voyages Sailings better? Weekends are amazing but it does limit me to a couple of cruise lines.

THIS CRUISE WAS SO FUN! We vlogged our partying ! Will share soon! 😘 Thanks for sharing this info friend! 💚💚💚

You’ve certainly given us a different perspective about Virgin, Brandon. Thanks for a great video!
Hey Jerry! Always my pleasure to share my experience and glad it resonates!
great video, very good content that actually helped me with deciding if I wanted to go on a Virgin Cruise. Thank you
What did you decide Dino?!?! Are you coming on the Virgin Voyages Group Cruise?
Great video...any pictures of you in your speedo. Just kidding. Keep up the great work.

You are correct. For 4 night cruises, you can only reserve each restaurant once. For longer cruises, you can make a second reservation.

May I ask where’d you get that shirt 😅?
Haha on onboard a cruise ship! This one came from Liberty of the Seas but have seen it on others too.
Having espresso for free is definitely a selling point for me. 😅
Haha right?? I don't like ordering $12 drinks and actually having to pay for it!
