    I live in Port Charlotte for about 10 years now and love it here!! I'm from Kansas City and so happy not shoveling snow! When I moved here I had no family and no friends here! Since then I joined a great church; clubs and met lots of new friends that I hang out with. But if you move here make sure you have a concrete block home because it survived a cat 4 hurricane

    I’ve lived in Port Charlotte since 1979 when my parents moved here. I would move out of here but don’t see it happening yet. Our granddaughter is here so she is our priority. I have a real Wanderlust spirit but my husband was an over the road musician and he said it got old. He does want to get an RV and travel but they are so expensive right now. I agree with you about living life. My nephew and niece just bought an RV and decided to travel with their family. She was a manager of a Dillard’s store and was making good money but had no time with her family. I’m glad I found your channel, Cool to see you driving around my town. 👍.

    Sorry I don't see the value in the sound system. As for ATV is definitely better than a boat. Living for today is good but saving for the future is better.
    Spending time with family is important also. Glad to hear you are happy. You be you.

    My parents retired in Port Charlotte in 1980 .about 4 miles west from where you started the video. My dad passed away in 1989 and My mom sold the house and moved in with my sister in 1999 ' for 10 years I spent a good part of the winter in that area. I haulled gravel in Michigan from mid April to New Years and spent the winter with my parents, mostly doing maintenance around the house in the morning and then off to the beach. Then I had kids and their school dictated my vacation so it was down to spring vacation pretty much after my dad passed away. My wive became a school bus driver so she was off when the kids were off So I narrowed it down to 2 weeks instead of 3 months. I see Kings Hwy. really built up a lot since my days of hanging around the area!

    Sorry guys a shopping mall doesn't show what this town is about????? why drive thru a shopping mall??? wasted time and gas

    • @thomasbrown2465
      @thomasbrown2465 ปีที่แล้ว

      It shows a little of what the town has to offer, Besides the downtown area and restaurants to choose from. It tells me alot about a town. Reasons to get out of the house and have places to go and kill time. I'm sure there's more to do here than that, but that is a start. Businesses tells how lively and booming a town is. Lots of businesses also can tell someone how many potential jobs is in that town. You don't get a job in Florida fast enough, you're in trouble with the prices and cost of living. Yes I would be looking for factories and better paying jobs first.
