2:14 they mention the transvestite in the 1st episode when they see Penny unpacking and Leonard says, “big upgrade from the previous tenant” (or something like that) and Sheldon says, “a 300 pound trasvestite, sure is” (or something like that lol)
Firefly! 😭😭😭 Watch it and you'll see why we're still mad that Fox cancelled it. It's one of the best shows ever. Also, question for Dillon, there's only two apartments available, would you rather be roomates with Sheldon or Rachel?
it had bad ratings - so a few internet people who like it will not keep it on the air - i never watched it - it is not the type of show i like - most people feel this way that is why it was cancelled -
@@wuxin5847 The reason it had bad ratings is because the network kept moving it's air time around to times people was working or just switching it out with football. People did wanna watch it but they where blocked by the network.
@@wuxin5847 That is correct. Only a small audience can be found for a show like Firefly. Those that do like it, love it tho, it was a big hit on DVD sales.
There's no laugh tracks in the entire show, just really smart people that gets all the jokes on the audience and people that laughs at the actors because they also laugh off camera
I don't know Latin but that saying is well known so I laughed because I knew what he was saying and this is the first time I hear about people not understanding it!
Why are these episodes not being released on time? It used to be 2 episodes per week. Then it went to 1 and sometimes 2 per week, then it went to 1 per week. Now they're being released 1 episode every 1.5 to 2 weeks per.
You should watch Firefly. Honestly, I didn't understand what was happening. Science fiction isn't always my thing. But if you understand it, its probably as good as people say.
Firefly is an extremely well written show that was nevertheless going to struggle on Network TV. And you are right to point out that sci-fi is not for everyone, which really limited the audience.
This and a later Christmas one I enjoy their backstory and fun spin on things. Live audience laughing at the nonsense, only few people get the intelligence jokes/Latin. Ah Firefly and Zune (Microsoft's iPod) yep those aged well and Sheldon isn't always right. Good tv shows sometimes get dropped, I assume this with many trash TV shows but because of their jokes/drama get successful, maybe it was the time it aired for it's tv slot or the concepts weren't appealing to some people but respected nowadays, the actors weren't big enough but are nowadays, what it did different. Anything is possible. I haven't seen Firefly but know bits and pieces about it. That or fans are just passionate, all are likely possibilities. I hear the same about book IPs that never get touched yet other popular ones do and either make it or change things and sometimes work out well for a movie/tv show audience then a book audience. Such concepts and action or marketing even if they can be intellectual concepts more in books sometimes so converting to a visual medium can work sometimes or not be entertaining enough to some people So they be yeah altered to appeal sometimes their politics or other concepts along with action or other things inbetween, maybe they use other aspects from later in the book and push it further forward or add their own unique content. Game of Thrones may have had good story telling (never seen, but assuming) but it had other things in it as well to keep audiences interested. It was apparently dumbed down over time due to its popularity to make it more understandable to audiences or maybe it was original works because the book material wasn't available yet which I probably think is more the case. Like many shows can have issues with adapting things, live action western shows, anime, live action anime and their original concepts being so bad when the originals already appealed to western audiences but nope the western staff had to have their mark on things. Not a thing I think as much for western cartoons but no idea for sure there.
