I’ve heard this from some people I know and it actually makes sense, whenever Mirabelle touched the candle that was the magic that was able to give her the gift, but she wiped her hands on her dress, so there was no magic to touch the door to give her a gift, that is why she has no gift, but since she rubbed the magic on her, the gift IS her, SHE was the one who restored the magic at the end of the movie, she IS a part of the candle
I was thinking the same thing that’s exactly why she doesn’t have a gift and why when her gift ceremony happened abuela candle went more dim. Because mirabel wiped the magic on her her gift is without of reach.
I love how no one talks about how Mirabele may actually have a gift because when ever she got sad or left out/ forgotten the candle would start going out and the power would leave meaning she may be holding all the gifts plus on her dress there’s a bunch of butterflies just like the candle had a butterflies meaning that mirabel may have the power of the candle aka she may be the gift keeper

I have a theory she didn’t get a gift because she was born with one. Controlling the candle. And when the house broke it became the new candle so that’s when her gift sparked
That’s what I think. Did you notice that when she was sad, the house started breaking more? Maybe they didn’t show her power because it’s WAY too powerful than the others, and it would be dangerous if anyone knew, because it can control if the magic is in danger or not, so she had to pretend she never had a power, when she KNEW she did. What if her power was also being the guardian? Like, controlling who gets what power/gift, and if they even get one? Because everyone else had a gift except for her. But, she couldn’t control Bruno, because he was different. He was the second person that was so powerful because he can see into the future, which could really ruin the present. But that’s just my part of the theory.
one thing- before antonio got his gift he wore white as he hasnt gotten one yet the outfit he's wearing is when had gotten his gift- sorry if i may've bothered you, only a small thing i noticed video's amazing btw!
Mirabella does have a gift it's herself she is the miracle the whole movie hints to it along with the fact that she is able to keep them going with their powers and she helps them realize new things that comes with their powera
