Edit: if you're expecially a politicly opiniated person, it hits you more because of the lyrics but even most of the Turkish people don't interpret it that way. But yeah I'm pretty sure, considering their political stand, it's very political.
Bir derdim var means I have a problem, like internally. Never knowing it's ever going to be resolved, fully knowing that, it's more of a cry, saying "I can't keep it in anymore" it has to be out somehow. I have to say it but as a Turkish person it's hard to say it out loud. My interpretation is, we want to be free, in every way possible. We want to cry out loud, "please, we want to be free to say our mind, make our music freely, live freely." I' don't know I'm a bit drunk but only truth is coming out of the intoxicated mind :D
Symphonic rock would be the perfect soundtrack.

Yeah totally agree with the music industry comment.
Unfortunately though, situation is not very different in Turkey. The thing is most of the stuff you've been listening on the channel is from 2000-2015 ishes maybe.
After that period there is a steep decline in quality music.
But, I hope things will change since some kind of Rock sounding band won Eurovision this year.
I think people are bored with music industry output, so some change could be coming.
Btw, you may considering reacting to that, it would be interesting.

Oh man, this song is almost 25 years old. That buckethead has not been just a piece of paper yet that time. It was just a young tree which is enjoying bright sun light :))
(1987-present) is how long bucket head has been doing it. 34 years is also a long time. It was just a reference to show a similar melody, that is all. 👍

name of the band literally means purple and beyond(of purple). i don't know why but i felt an ultra urge to tell it. we use mor to translate violet and purple. ultra is translated into turkish as ötesi, which also means beyond. i don't know why the band took mor ve ötesi as their name but it means "purple and beyond" or "violet and beyond" in english. here's a bunch of translational conceptions for you. have a nice day :)

Agree about usa music, 2000s pop was way way better when you remember. I think folk and country music is best in usa right now. I like listening specially texas underground bands. Also really like white buffalo. They came in Turkey 3 years ago. But of course they are not mtv music. Rock is kind of dead in usa. Glad there are some rock bands we have still continue to do good music.
