I feel like the price being so expensive on preorders is because how the figure is being held. It’s super rare to have figures floating in air let alone with all the weapons and ships behind the character. IMO it’s rightly priced from the concept alone. If she was standing on the base then I would say you’re paying too much
Honestly man, I never tire of how well crafted these openings are. It's a marvel in of itself how well put together they are. Don't really need to say much about the figure, anything by Alter is generally beastly in terms of quality - that's why we pay the premium I guess.
I don't play Azur Lane really but I like the character designs a lot, so I tend more towards the lightweight versions since the guns don't attract me all that much and increase the price drastically when I think the character is the focal point. Currently have Dido and Honolulu lightweight versions ordered, and am thinking about (re)ordering Sirius (after I cancelled her a while back), but I already have the Alter Sirius ordered so idk if I want two Sirius's
I really regret not ordering her when I had the chance. Once I saw the details and how she came out I immediately ordered St. Louis and the other Alter ships. I am now forever regretful about not getting her as now I will never find her close to retail.
dang she's beautiful. Really love the detail and how the red on her clothes looks. Something that doesn't really fits my tastes are her hair that looks pearl-colored/pearlescent finish. A solid color would be a better choice imo, but i guess i won't really know unless i see it by my own eyes
I bought two and don't regret spending this much on her. The assembly was a bit troublesome for me too since three fins of the backbone kept falling out, but in the end I somehow managed to stick them back without glue. Still one of the best Alter figures for sure.

Prinz fig looks amazing! Hopefully sooner or later, her "Final Lap" (racecar) skin gets made into a figure, because that would look incredible, and seeing the st. louis figure will be exciting (I didn't even know alter made a figure for her)! The Yuru Camp "stay comfy" hoody looks really comfy too (currently thinking about copping it).
Her final lap skin is getting made into a 1/4th figure actually lol, was announced last month! but im guessing we wont be seeing anything of her for a while since the manufacture still hasnt shown prototypes for a few other figures theyre are already working on.
The only edit I could see done that would have made this a little better would be to like bi or tripod some of the supports. But overall definitely one of the more detailed models.

After getting this and St. Louis I'm hooked on Alter's figures now. Managed to get all their Azur Lane figures on pre-order apart from Graf and Javelin which I'll probably skip. Had to cancel quite a few of my other figures. Their figures are impeccable, it's hard to be disappointed. The heavy versions aren't cheap but that rigging really takes these figures to the next level, it's completely worth it. So glad Honolulu got a heavy version, she's my most anticipated figure now... well at least until Schwarz goes up for pre order.
This one was hard for me to pass on but I couldn't stomach the price. I had Vampire already and now that I have St Louis plus a bunch more pre-ordered, I kind of regret not getting this. I guess I'll wait to see if a re-release comes along.
I have her and definitely think she is worth the price. The QC is great, definitely one of the best Alter figures. The assembly is not too hard, but I think it’ll be a challenge to pack her if I ever need to move.

I love prince eugine, I knew this figure was on preorder, but I can't afford a figure so expensive (even with the original 41K yens price) Yet, I will keep my eyes open and see what the future departs.
Regarding the "why would you want the figure without the guns? That's what their ingame sprite looks like" - Actually I would have bought a ton of figures (even really expensive ones) if only they didn't have the guns ^^" I usually like the character design even if I don't know where they're from, so it's always a bit disappointing for me if they end up with huge weapons draped around them. It's just a personal preference, just like cutesy girls with gigantic guns is one as well! But I guess this ended up saving me a lot of money in the process so I guess all is well in the end :)

Prinz Eugen deserves it. I was looking into buying her swimsuit and inflatable tube figure (but knew that I wouldn't because I'm a broke college student who lives with his parents :'( ) and Jesus Christ, I love it.
I just got her after-market for around 430 USD, she is so gorgeous from every angle but assembling her is another story, I'm so afraid of breaking her hair and all other fragile parts. BTW I think it's worth it and if ALTER going to re-product her she's going to be worth more than the old pre-order price and it's not going to be soon.

Yeah... the after market price is no joke... I should have preorder it before they marked up the price. But like you said, one of the better Alter figures. The detail to the face and her rigg is well done. It took sometime to set up for sure, I had trouble placing the center arm piece onto the pole. One of the better Azur Lane figure for sure 👌!
I personally like AmiAmi the best, some people complain about their shipping prices, you may find other places a bit cheaper in that regard, but i just like using their site and they package stuff really well. Another one i like use is hobby link japan.
I couldn't justify the price (or space XD) when I don't play Azur Lane but she is a stunning figure! Alter ages super well too, so you know that in years time it'll still hold up super well next to newer ones. Great coverage!
I always eat cereal without milk... but no, even if they had offered a light version of Prinz Eugen I wouldn't have purchased it. To me, the light versions seem incomplete and if I bought that version of any figure, every time I'd look at it, I think I'd be obsessing about what's missing. That would seriously impact of the pleasure of owning the figure.

She is a very nice figure but I can't justify spending 41k yen for a 1/7 scale if she was a 1/4 I could see why is priced at that. I do think tho most of the heavy version of the Azur Lane figures are overpriced as most of them have an extra 15k yen added to the price for a small piece of plastic.
