Honestly, the best part of this is the multiple games being played at the same time. Simon is just learning the controls, Neebs is playing the cosmetics collecting/casual game, Thick is out for the killing, and Appsro is following the plot (and trying to keep his temper). Have to admit the quips are great, too. Hope you guys keep making stuff like this.

I remembered when I first watched this part (on my 10th time now) that part literally had me in tears
They all did great here but Appsro was simply amazing in his role as captain.

It is past three in the morning right now. My kid is asleep on the couch behind me, and I happen to start this video right where the awesome animation starts with the "shark bites" bit. I of course laugh my ass off, waking my kid. She HAS to know what was so funny, and proceeds to watch both videos for the next 5-10 minutes until she passes back out. Thank you Neebs! The way you shot this let's play as a movie made it truly great. I have watched this supercut a dozen times. It's my favorite to put on while I'm playing video games. It still cracks me up when Simon blows up the ship and neebs gets casted as the janitor.

I've been slowly chipping away at this video for the last several days. Sometimes I'll watch only 5 minutes and then have to pause for something. Other times I've watched 40 mins uninterrupted. It's similar to how I consume audio book entertainment as well.
@@96Logan May I suggest that since i assume you have already watch the series through atleast once, you just let it playthrough without pausing. The best thing about the neebs gang is they work so well together that you really can pop in at any moment and still be entertained without knowing you missed anything.

I just watched this straight through. Coming from a mostly day one player, I loved this. It's a nice change of pace from the usual streams and videos that make up 95% of SOT content.
For real that's a good point I don't wanna see you hide on a boat till they get there loot like it was cool the first 500 times I like immersion kinda content where they get into the game not just worried about the Athena

This video has a wonderful blend of actual Tall Tale content (all the exposition and whatnot, which I LOVE) and funny, normal SoT content. The crew's dynamic is one I hope for in my own crew one day, and for some reason Captain Appsro's voice (and great use of true sailors terms) is so...idk, I could listen to it for hours. Not particularly charming or calming, but something about it just makes me wanna listen to him 😂
This is one of my favorite series they've done, and it's mostly due to Appsro's dynamic with the rest of the crew. It's like the man was born to be a pirate captain

This is absolutely the best 6 hour video iv ever watched. Congratulations to everybody involved. The makers of the game, the players and especially the editor. Neebs, ur comedic talent is incredible. Thankyou so much. I cant count how many times i burst out laughing. Liked subbed and shared with everybody i know. The talent displayed in this video is epic.

My husband and I LOVED the tall tales when they came out. It was such a new and unique experience. The story was epic. The gameplay was amazing. We had a ball. All of it was ruined when we realized that in order to complete all of the commendations for the shores of gold series of tales we had to complete them all 5 times each. At least once getting all the journals. This video was shaved down on gameplay and is still 6 hours to do all of them. I absolutely love this game and love that rare didn't abandon it. But damn does it hurt to do it over and over again with a guide out to fast track just to get the titles and cosmetics. We still haven't finished! Every time we load up we'd rather pirate than riddle through them. The replay value isn't too great and the gold isn't worth it at all. As I said, the story was awesome and it was epic to play through the first time. I just wish they hadn't ruined it for us completionists by making us go through them 5 times over.

Fun fact I played through the whole tall tale series alone back then. I was going through the shores of gold but when I got there, I was exploring the island and found a whole team there already. They invited me to their party and we beat it all together and from there on we became good friends and sailed the seas together for a long time. I miss those scallywags ngl

I know the series followed the main quest (which I didn't even know existed until I watched this) but it would have been fun to see the crew take on the sea monsters and do a mermaids den.
