I've always rooted for the underdog and when i discovered robot about a year ago it really changed my outlook on the world retail car audio and how much of it is bullshit and hype I just wish I had discovered this world years earlier. I'm a hardcore basshead I get the demo car mindset an I love it....body panels flexing mirrors shaking dashboards rattling it's cool as hell to me. But to me building a dedicated burp spl system seems pointless it doesn't prove anything but how make most of a noise with what you have, all that nice expensive gear just to only go mmmmmmm for 10 seconds?? But I love overkill windy insane demo cars I just don't have the money to standout in that giant pissing contest. Build quality side is legit but equipment side it's machismo flexing biggest dick contest, I personally like when a system performs from ingenuity not tossing 50k worth of sundown products, that proves nothing but you have (or had) disposable income anyone can do that. If I had the money I would love to have a top tier level team robot build with a bunch of gonzo 15's on a pile of your amps any other of your associated underdog brands you deal in like recoil ect. But to park next to a top brand demo rig like Sundown or B2 ect. an go toe to toe that would be epic. And see the look on the face haters when people are taping out quicker than there down4dicks neo hoe demo priceless! (Teehee priceless🤭), maybe someday I'll have the funds for one of my ideas in my bucket... you have a bunch loyal followers so I think some "Team Robot Underground" decals would be cool and "URU" (University of Robot Underground) also "teaching the sheep since ##"

JL still charges $1 a watt. And my 900/5 that I paid $1100 for does shit for power and said made in China in big letters on the box. I would never buy another JL amp. I also have 2 dd audio M5’s which I love and then my monster amps are 2 DB aak 20,000.1. Those things are beasts. Those 3 you have there look very well laid out and very well built. I can assure that one in the center does at least 7000 on dynamic burst. Somebody’s going to get some great amps for a great price.

The 3000.1 will do 3800 RMS. The 3500.1 will do 5200 RMS and the 3800 will do 57 to 5800 RMS at half of a ohm burst. Everyone on my team has owned one or two of them at some point.

since i know nothing about amp design i have a question: why is the middle amp so much larger despite putting out less than the one on the right? there are a massive amount more fets, like what nearly double? i see the output chokes are way beefier on the right tho, looks like bigger caps too

Jl and big companies as such have patents wich cant be copied and to you maybe a little difference here and there is not worth it they say but to use sq guys we cant definitely tell the difference in quality of sound. I've had it all and I always go back to my name brand equipment because overall it is better in sq and durability and meets its specs. Similar but not the same. You get what you pay for. Yes jl is hell of expensive but yet some of their entry level amps are beast for what they are. Ill give you a example. Right now I am testing a 15 skar zvx , I run a JBL gto 2400 to it and it sounds amazing and last week I bought me deafbonce apocalypse 4000.1 and yes while its a powerful amplifier the quality of sound does not compare.

I never recommend .5 ohm on any amp. It's not worth the fire hazard. Plus you don't get that much more / loudness. Remember that in order to get +3db, you need 2x the power and the subs need to be able to take it.

No, these are mainland China. Taiwan is not as awesome as it used to be. Mostly good there for chip industry. Lots of more wealthy dudes than it was 20 years ago. The real cost savings is paying $1 an hour for farmers to come into the city and work.

The more MOSFETs doesn't necessarily mean more power. The one on the right uses larger MOSFETs that actually have packs of 16 in one package

@@RobotUnderground That does not mean they are made by the same manufacturer or made with the same quality of parts, patents, design exactly and quality of build. Jl and big companies as such have patents wich cant be copied and to you maybe a little difference here and there is not worth it they say but to use sq guys we cant definitely tell the difference in quality of sound. I've had it all and I always go back to my name brand equipment because overall it is better in sq and durability and meets its specs. Similar but not the same. You get what you pay for. Yes jl is hell of expensive but yet some of their entry level amps are beast for what they are. Ill give you a example. Right now I am testing a 15 skar zvx , I run a JBL gto 2400 to it and it sounds amazing and last week I bought me deafbonce apocalypse 4000.1 and yes while its a powerful amplifier the quality of sound does not compare.

Can the 2.7k run at .5 ohm?
I never recommend .5 ohm on any amp. It's not worth the fire hazard. Plus you don't get that much more / loudness. Remember that in order to get +3db, you need 2x the power and the subs need to be able to take it.
