Beardyman is pretty much the originator of the live looping music creation style (there were some others involved but he was one of the first). He started as a beatboxer, won the UK championship in the 90's, and in order to broaden his music creation he created the first portable live loop machine, that didn't mess up the timings, and what you see here is the latest iteration. The portable equipment from Ari@Home is pretty much based on the same parts as the stuff that Beardyman created. There are more videos of Beardyman and Harry Mack that are worth checking out. I recommend "None of this was planned", 4 songs and especially the last 2 are very good.
And there's a clip on harry's channel somewhere where he did a "Happy Hour" collab with Ari @Home - "Let's Make Some Music... | Harry Mack x ARIatHOME Freestyle"
Not sure which H. Mack video you started with, but this one was a solid choice to come back to. He can do every speed and every cadence, and don't forget it's all off the top. There are peak videos, though, that might impress you even more. Omegle Bars 85 is peak Harry Mack. You should consider checking that one out, even if it's in your own time.
My understanding is that Beardyman's ipad software is custom-built by him. Too bad your original reaction is gone now - even if you weren't impressed then, it's always fun to see how people's opinions can change after seeing a few more videos. I think every artist has those fanatics who refuse to let someone talk poorly about the artist in question - Harry Mack definitely has fanatical followers, but there's plenty of us out here who just want to share Harry's craft with the world and a few negative words ain't gonna ruin our day.
