What did you think of barbarian? I thought it was good. The first part was solid. The second half with Justin long was surprising and solid and the end seemed kinda far out there but was pretty well done...and there was a solid ending and explanation of things and I appreciate that...(I'm looking at you gone in the night side eyed)
I forgot about Barbarian. It was interesting but it fell down for me when I realized it took forever to be like the movie Don't breathe kind of. It's like a similar breed. But if you enjoy the oblivious person or damsel in distress mystery film where a person is trying to escape but also wants to figure out what weird crap is happening. These three films. You would probably enjoy them but Barbarian takes the best one for my preferences. Only because it felt more desperate and menacing.

So I looked at the screen grab for your channel, and I thought, oh 2 guys who are going to bro this movie up. What a pleasant surprise. Don't be judging, Mrs. Murphy, I say to myself. I loved this, and I'm subscribed.
The ending is meant to be open ended- there were hints throughout the movie to make us think she was twisted enough to stay at the cabin and not report to the police… but we are also allowed to think the ending shot just demonstrated how traumatized she was and that she will eventually do the right thing and report to the police

I just saw this on Hulu. I liked it enough to watch all the way thru, an easy 90 min. I thought it had weird scene transitions, where it would always fade to black. I’d recommend the movie, especially if you have Hulu.

Honestly I believe she thinks she can have the cabin to herself and nobody would know. They would just die in the container and she could live her life in a peaceful place
I actually liked this. Had an easy to see twist I'd say.. but then takes another almost snake oily turn I didn't see which was fun. Had fun with it. Plus really like John Gallahger Jr.
Also liked that it stayed grounded in realism with its characters too. . Didn't feel like the classic mustache twisting secret villain thing we always see. Dude was delusional and still tried to justify his actions.
This was an eye opening movie to me, it makes sense to me, if you see mice utopia experiment ( mice allowed to live in a worry free society w/o predators but the society dies out), then the experiment with young mice blood given to older mice that makes the old mice healthier and younger - anti aging, then I see how usually single moms get housing and food stamps worry free (and how the moms act like a mice utopia), then I see the plasma centers asking to pay for healthy peoples plasma, then I see in the news how all these young people are missing and getting kidnapped, then how Rockefeller used petroleum to beome the richest man, experimented with petroleum-based medicines and pilles and basically hiding the herbal rememdies for sickness, etc..., then the bribery to educational institutions of implementing his educational teachings to create a working class, inflation, acreating a slave society, then the Matrix, where humans are used as energy, ' fire in the sky' where a man gets taken by ETs and experimented on, then all the missing and kidnapped children, the plan parenthood ( where they sold the baby fetuses for experimentation to labs, getting hgh, steroids, stem cells all for anti aging healthier science- Sammy Sosa, Mark Maguire, Barry Bonds slam run records of the late 90s), then the plasma centers that collect healthy plasma from usually people.that need money, then watching this movie, where Wynonna Ryder makes the decision in the end to want this proceedure on herself to be with that young lady's blood transfusion to live longer and healthier compared to how she is at her present state of being, maybe the start of a new dracula out in the woods, reseach dracula as well, same origins same theories, they did these mice experiments on aging in the early 1900s as well as on humans. Some people would decide to make the choice W Ryder did and try to live healthier long long lives, while others would call the cops. Is this really going on, who would benefit from this? Who would have took HGH to perform better or to be younger, to repair their bodies? Very interesting, this movie will be talked about for years if not hidden away
I don't know, man. This movie started out pretty promising and had some effective things going on it and then it just unraveled. The dude was like a scientist vampire or some shit? Dafuq
Homefront (2013) was the only time I've seen Winona Ryder. She played a victim of sorts there too. From your review, looks like this 'victimized,' vulnerable, yet capable role is written better for her as lead character in this movie.
Way too predictable and obvious. The young woman was a great actress...she really worked the psychopath vibe. Winona does this whole dazed and confused thing in all of her acting, and it's tiring. The ending was a window into humanity and its self-serving nature; however, based on Winona's character's previous demeanor/character, her final actions didn't add up.
lol this movie was a trip. I like that the twists weren't all over the top "EVVIL GUY WITH BIG EVIL PLAN MASTERMIND BLAH BLAH BLAH" The motives seemed semi realistic in that the character motives felt like regular people just reaction to the situations they were handed. lmao The end makes it feel like a dark comedy. Like the whole movie was one long build up to a punch line. lmao wtf this movie wasn't terrible not great but definitely an interesting take on the who done it tropes.
Side note: I haven't watched your videos in a while, but I don't remember that much eye rolling from the reviewer on the right. Just saying. I do enjoy your reviews because you recap the whole movie in simple terms, while many others just talk fancy talk, and I appreciate that, but the eye rolling caught me off guard.
