There is an issue with the most recent version of Power Apps which means you cannot add fields to the component. Whilst this is being fixed, you can use the work around described here github.com/microsoft/powercat-creator-kit/issues/475#issuecomment-2164606080

Great Scott!! Well done, just got it running with Sharepoint as datasource. For the unique identifier in Sharepoint, its called "{Identifier}". Normally when calling up the ID column, it would just be "ID", but that was not showing, therefore I chose "{Identifier}". Voila all the data is there without having to do anything different from what you showed. Thank you. This such a beautiful top tier feature. Well done!! Thank you!!

FYI if you are having trouble getting collection to load in component after you edit fields and add fullname or if you are having trouble getting the drag and drop to 'drop' after you set master zone to on try deleting browser history/cache and or publishing app and running it as an app as opposed to just from the editor - just sharing this as information in case it helps anyone else - great video, Scott!

@@ScottDurow On the top of my head, I have two customers one in logistics and Development of Physical Products.
For logistics, for a regular scenario, a Load goes through several stages and different departments depending of the stage: Quote, In Route, Delivered, Completed, Invoiced, Paid.
For the Physical Products Company, a product goes through several machines before it's complete it and the rotation of personal per machine it always changing. One part of the solution could be similar to the Desk Reservation on you Demo.

This is exactly what our team has been looking for. That being said, I am a pretty low code person, and even the collections thing seems to be hanging me up. We want to do a Kansan board using existing data verse tables. Do you have a template for this that we can customize from? Can you do a video JUST on building out the Kansan style version of this app? I feel like there a pro-code hump I am not able to get over here (I know it isn't pro-code, but it is feeling like it).

Hi Julia! Yes you can do that by using a different style for each drop zone, and inside the OnDrop event of the master zone, use the CurrentItems collection to patch the source collection, then use ClearChanges as described in github.com/scottdurow/power-drag-drop - I will show how to do this in my next video in more detail! Be sure to subscribe to get notified when I upload! ☺️

Hi Scott. I have a particular use case that I wonder if you could help with? I want to use this to build a roadmap with recommendations for customers over the next x months. The challenge is that that will always be a moving target because months roll forward.
I created a collection called colMonths that grabs a chain of upcoming months, then used that as the source for a gallery. I then put a zone in the gallery and made a collection of Recommendations the source for it. I set the zone ID using the equivalent and matching field in the Recommendations data set. The result is the right number of zones, plus one, with everything dumped in the last one and unable to drag between. I think I understand why I can't drag between (container in the gallery) - any suggestions?

Great video and apologies if this has already been asked Scott but I am wondering if it is possible to dynamically create drag and drop areas. I have an app where I need to create x number of zones to drag and drop between. I was thinking about tying the collection to a gallery and having one zone in each gallery item. Have you tried this? It is for a logistics app so a user chooses what they want to send and then can add boxes and drag items between them if needed.

Is the handlebar something that needs to be added to power apps in some way? Everything works perfectly fine, but the HTML code only leads to blank drop zones. No values are displayed any more.
Thanks for this great work! It is a massive improvement for power apps.
This component could only be better if the customization of the items in the drop zone would be more flexible. I feel the way galleries can be customized is more powerful. But perhaps I'm just missing the handlebar possibility. Thanks in advance for any support.

Hi! Thanks for watching and giving it a try. It sounds like you have 'Scale to fit' turned on (Settings-> Display).
It must be turned OFF for the drag and drop component to work. You'll need to create your app using a responsive layout so that it adapts to the screen size - rather than auto scales. Hope this helps!
