I want to point out that LITERALLY NO OTHER GAMING COMPANY DOES THIS. That is because despite all of the bad things in the gaming industry, they still have some common sense to know that people who are creating mods with characters from your games or emulating your games are still people who go out and play your games and enjoy your games. There are so many fan made projects of other games that haven’t been taken down because other companies realise that them making fans games doesn’t affect them and shows they like the game. not realy piracy is taking the rom or distributing it to use yuzu you need your own legaly aquired roms (dumped) also just a fact wii u or older roms downloaded online is not techicaly piracy as nintendo does not profit from the software anymore.

the reason why yuzu was taken down and dolphin wasn't is because the yuzu devs were doing some shady stuff, like locking game roms behind patreon tiers, as well a encouraging piracy of switch roms on their discord, as well as posting videos and screenshots of games on yuzu on day one release, which are all very bad legally, while dolphin is perfectly legal.

Yuzu Used a Nintendo switch SDK (software development kit) The devs were sharing google drive folders of games, among other things, and beacause of the SDK the entire codebase is fucked. it's unfortunate but that's likely how yuzu was able to play new games so quickly
The SDK one was never proven. Just because someone in the team saw the SDK, or even when the code shares a bit of similarity to the SDK code, doesn't mean actual copying happened, since a lot of the information in that SDK that matter for emulation are public on Switchbrew, etc. anyway. Also anyone who knew anything about compatibility layer/HLE emulator development would tell you that the stuff in SDK is the easy part. The real juicy and hard parts like specific GPU behaviors and optimizations were never documented anywhere, and Yuzu's success likely doesn't really have anything to do with "they have seen the SDK code". But yes generally Yuzu got taken down because Tropical Haze LLC did a lot of dumb things (the SDK claims may not being one of them, but small things like this can add up) and Ninty used that as a bargaining chip to let them give up on Yuzu.
I disagree with the Nintendrone, but I still think even if you own the original TTYD you should still buy the remake IF you want Paper Mario games to be good again. If TTYD HD sells well, we might finally get a NEW Paper Mario game in the classic style again in the future. That is what I want. I want to point out that LITERALLY NO OTHER GAMING COMPANY DOES THIS. That is because despite all of the bad things in the gaming industry, they still have some common sense to know that people who are creating mods with characters from your games or emulating your games are still people who go out and play your games and enjoy your games. There are so many fan made projects of other games that haven’t been taken down because other companies realise that them making fans games doesn’t affect them and shows they like the game. Nintendo literally doesn’t give a shit and will copyright strike anything with their characters in it. It’s absolutely disgusting. Also to mention your point, I will most likely buy the paper Mario remake because I don’t own the original and the new one looks remade from the ground up. However I will not be buying the luigis mansion 2 remake because I already own the original and it just looks like the original game but in HD. Also I just want the ability to play thousand year door on switch.

not realy piracy is taking the rom or distributing it to use yuzu you need your own legaly aquired roms (dumped) also just a fact wii u or older roms downloaded online is not techicaly piracy as nintendo does not profit from the software anymore.

I got ahold of an archived collection of the mods. Nothing left to do but start underchanneling them. Nintendo has done little real damage. Maybe if they'd focus more funding to fixing their games' bugs instead of keeping their dedicated C&D printer maintained, they'd do better these days.

the reason why yuzu was taken down and dolphin wasn't is because the yuzu devs were doing some shady stuff, like locking game roms behind patreon tiers, as well a encouraging piracy of switch roms on their discord, as well as posting videos and screenshots of games on yuzu on day one release, which are all very bad legally, while dolphin is perfectly legal.
also palworld kinda did fall off tho, i mean checking steamDB, right now it has 15 thousand people playing, compared to the 2.1 million people playing 5 months ago, although he's technically right, this guy is just butthurt about palworld lol

Yuzu Used a Nintendo switch SDK (software development kit) The devs were sharing google drive folders of games, among other things, and beacause of the SDK the entire codebase is fucked. it's unfortunate but that's likely how yuzu was able to play new games so quickly
The SDK one was never proven. Just because someone in the team saw the SDK, or even when the code shares a bit of similarity to the SDK code, doesn't mean actual copying happened, since a lot of the information in that SDK that matter for emulation are public on Switchbrew, etc. anyway. Also anyone who knew anything about compatibility layer/HLE emulator development would tell you that the stuff in SDK is the easy part. The real juicy and hard parts like specific GPU behaviors and optimizations were never documented anywhere, and Yuzu's success likely doesn't really have anything to do with "they have seen the SDK code".
But yes generally Yuzu got taken down because Tropical Haze LLC did a lot of dumb things (the SDK claims may not being one of them, but small things like this can add up) and Ninty used that as a bargaining chip to let them give up on Yuzu.

I disagree with the Nintendrone, but I still think even if you own the original TTYD you should still buy the remake IF you want Paper Mario games to be good again. If TTYD HD sells well, we might finally get a NEW Paper Mario game in the classic style again in the future. That is what I want. I am voting with my money for a thing that I want to see become a reality.

From what I've seen, the HD version isn't just an upscaled port. It seems to be a genuine improvement gameplay-wise too. It's a true remake, not a remaster.

Sadly a lot of the mods I used are all Nintendo themed, for the first time in my life I’m mad at them.
A lot of people think it’s not actually Nintendo and is actually some copyright troll.
I ended up preserving every mod I had on my pc to a MEGASync folder, I wish I could post a link to it, but TH-cam doesn’t allow that anymore

Isn't it odd that its only recently that they struck down the mods? Why wait literal decades to act now? Someone told them as a troll and lolz and this is the result. I get that legally Nintendo can strike down the mods, I equally get its annoying (just stfu about that project until its done and released. Even Nintendo has advised this) when Nintendo does what any company does. Incidentally did you know that in Japan you can be arrested for modding your console? Thats how we lost that cool 3ds capture card mod. They also have no fair use laws, explains all the copyright claims, and stupidly strickt copyright laws.

as somebody who actually is a nintendo fan. i personally think you should emulate and pirate as much nintendo stuff. the only nintendo stuff on the steam workshop is like ragdolls. reskins of rebel and combine npcs. vechiles. and like a map. nintendo isnt gonna lose money from that. i think its stupid. emulate and make as much fan stuff as possible.
