You have the most beautiful hair :) I've spent years only flat ironing and blow drying straight I've always had curly frizzy unmanageable hair I am a cosmetologist and I was always told tame your hair and put tunz of heat on it then top it off with tuns of product but this actually had more of a natural feel to it because I hate putting my hair through so much especially after all the color it takes already. I curl my hair all the time and I'm SO glad I'm not the only one who alternates curling towards and curling away. I do my bottom curls the same direction so I get more volume, that way when I do smaller curls on the top half of my head they're supported by the curls on the bottom and it all looks flow-y.
you're sign is aquarius, you've got a dry skin, obviously you love beauty products and most importantly you are a chatterbox just like me! It's a pity you live so far away from my country and there is no possibility of meeting, but as i watch your videos I feel that you're a great person, sensitive (anxiety video), and humble - love what you're doing! continue that! Hey Kathleen, have you tried the new straightening brush? I haven't bought it yet but apparently it does less damage and literally all you do is brush it with the brush x

Oh my goodness i completely understand with the whole backwards using the other hand thingy you talk about. Im right handed and when I straighten my hair i part it so that is more hair on the left because i cant straignten with my left hand so the least amount of hair i have to do with my left hand the better.

I am sure if in the future you want to cut your hair short...it will be more curly...the length weighs down curls too!
Also I have super curly natural hair...I brush before but I find if I do not comb afterwards my curls are all clumped together...so I need to! How do you get your hair so tangle free after? What shampoo/cond do you use?

How long does it take you to curl your hair because I have the same length as you & my hair is kind've wavy but it also gets really frizzy when I brush it! It takes me about 1 hr and 45 mins to curl my hair, and the worst part the curl don't stay 😕 please answer

When u combed your hair and said don't be scared and released it...it was still gorgeous. I have super frizzy hair and my hair on a good day looks like yours on a bad day. I can put a tin of anti-frizz products in it and people will still try to recommend their fave products to me. I have a bathroom full of stuff that doesn't work.

Another tip to help us curly haired girls is to use products w/o silicones (they build up and the only way you can get rid of them is to use a harsh shampoo that strips moisture - a no-go for those of us with curly hair), don't towel-dry your hair, but use a t-shirt instead and don't shampoo your hair - the no poo method works really well. If you feel like you HAVE to use shampoo rather than a cleansing conditioner, use a shampoo w/o sulfates. This is all outlined in the Curly Girl Method Handbook or you can look up the CGM on wikia.
"In the short term, silicones will make hair look sleeker and less frizzy, but in the long run they will coat the hair shaft of porous curly hair and seal out moisture, causing the hair to become straw-like, less defined, and frizzy. Hence, silicones make quick fixes for frizz, but over time, they are truly damaging your hair. Sulfates get rid of silicones, but at the expense of completely stripping your hair of all of its natural oils!
The solution to these problems is to eliminate both sulfates (in your shampoos) and silicones (in your conditioners and styling products). An exception to this rule: if a silicone has "PEG" in front of it, it is water-soluble and will not cause product build up."
