the XM years were fantastic. They were able to do edgy bits like the 55 gal drum challenge, homeless shopping spree etc. Itd be great if the boys could get together a few times a year and do some kind of structured bits like the aforementioned.

junior soprano he was simply the guy everyone loved to hate. Without all that, shit fell apart. Listening to these guys in their own shows makes it all sound incomplete after we got used to decades of these guys together. If they ever get back together, they need Bill as a regular since they need a guy to stand in for Patrice and his common sense and wisdom on female bullshit. Patrice was the glue keeping the old O&A together when shit got crazy in the studio. Opie felt angry about a lot of shit Ant said or did because it jeopardize their jobs. He felt Ant didn't give a fuck about their radio job and the shit they built together over the years, but he was never man enough to come out and say it. Instead, he played the passive aggressive bs we all hated him for.
I've listened to the whole saga and as much as I think opie might not have gone to bat for ant and maybe he got a little psycho and in his own head, but jeezo who can blame him? He was taking so much heat in the early days of the split. I'm not a huge fan but I respect Opie hard.... Real real hard

The moment everything went wrong with the show was November 29th 2011. That's when it hit a breaking point. The death of Patrice O'Neal was the last straw of funny that was holding the show togeather. Just knowing Patrice would be on at some point in the future made the show funnier.
You must've lived in a two block radius near that station. Damn frustrating that the reception was only good at the crest of a hill as you were bending your antenna to a 67-1/2 degree angle on a partly cloudy day. Those days were my first taste of this brilliance too. Nice callback.
