In addition to the aero didn't they also mention they made significant changes the front suspension geometry?
Thanks for the update on this car.
I'm very pleased that RB are being pushed by Ferrari and McLaren.
This might make the championship worth watching when the European GPs happen.
Could you have a closer look at the GT3's at N24H or Francorchamps 24H?
I didn’t find McLarens win to mean they can beat Max. As after the restart Lando had fresh tires while Max had 10 or so lap old tires. So it wasn’t a straight fight. If Ferrari or Max stopped late there may have been another winner.
Also Redbull normally has around a 5 tenth a lap pace advantage over the 2nd fastest team. Here we didn’t see Lando and Max 20 seconds ahead scraping. Therefore this was a weak track for RB similar to Singapore. So I don’t expect McLaren to be challenging RB with any consistency.
Also Ferrari while 3rd fastest wasn’t that far off of McLaren or Redbulls pace. Therefore the updates didn’t alone win them the race, rather a combination of track, temps, strategy, upgrades, and a weak RedBull.
At the last two tracks McLaren said it was damage limitation, even in Miami they said the upgrades would show a noticeable increase in performance but what happens when they folly understand them and a track that suits their car 🎉
off-topic, but which car is the sound in your intro from? I really like it.
Mercedes c9? Maybe it's just Opel corsa with removed (fell off) muffler idk
Can't remember about car model, but he said it was sound of BRM 16 cylinder engine in other video.(also can't remember if it was V16/H16)
It hurts my ears.
I heard a video with the exact same audio before, and it was a matra v12. B sport also confirmed it when I asked about it
@@litreocola6447 thanks, i think thats the one. Sounds brilliant! Goes straight into my car p*rn playlist.
Verstappens frontwing might have been slightly damaged (from hitting the orange pole), which explains the decrease in pace. But McLarens upgrade is impressive nevertheless.
the rear edge of his floor was broken bouncing over the kerbs in the same incident, but he couldnt get the tyres going properly before that either.
Hey. Did you see the photo of the McLaren’s underbody? If you did maybe that would be good video to go through what we can see. From a laymen perspective the main take away is it looks like it has three severe steps on the diffuser ramp.
Someone took a pic of it when Norris’s car was being moved by a crane after being punted out the sprint.
Where did you find the photo?
Max had floor damage in taking out that offending bollard 😂
We’ll see a return to form in Imola 🏎️
I hope the running they did in Miami will help them optimise the package for the next few races and squeeze a little more out of it. Ferrari and McLaren seem to be on an upward trajectory. Time for Red Bull to ditch Perez and get a better driver for '25. Sainz, Leclerc, Norris and Piastri are good enough to regularly challenge Verstappen, given the opportunity, especially if Red Bull switch development to the '25 car sooner than the others.
I think its looking like hamilton has made another good career choice, ferrari are starting to look like contenders again
They got lucky with whatever was going on with grip and the tires. Back to normal next race.
Doubt it, they were relatively close to redbull in china. If this upgrade gave them 2 tenths, this is the expected pace. Ferrari also says the imola upgrade will bring them 2.5 tenths. But of course if redbull also brings an update, they will still br ahead.
@@askeladden450But it didn’t…
@@toolegittoquit_001 yeah, i'm sure all the new part mclaren brought were for aesthetics only.
Hopefully Ferrari and Charles Leclerc wins in Imola with the Update
If Ferrari and Mclaren further updates will work, then the two last seasons of these regulations could be like 2010 or 2012
With the crash in the sprint..Merc can see the floor and copy it 😅
Norris was 5th or 4th on merit before safety car. Would be hard to win on merit
Ferrari next 🔥
One win and every body talking ... Will see in the next race😅😅😅
A little sore that Ferrari allowed themselves to be leap frogged like this but hey as long as someone can finally take the fight to red bull. Hope Norris can sort out his qualifying and his starts now
Ferrari are bringing possibly an even bigger upgrade next race. We might have a three way fight on our hands. That is ofc if redbull's upgrade arent big too.
I completely disagree. Norris gained 30 sec with the safety car. And he was nowhere from the podium before that, all weekend.
So why do everyone keep repeating that they are contenders of RB?
After the safety car, Verstappens car had poor grip on the hards. So he had a rare problem, hence he could not catch up with Norris.
That is all.
Look at Piastri though. Was always close to Max, is slower than Norris on race pace and only had half the updates. Mclaren closed the gap significantly, but not enough imo
Exactly. RB struggled on a low grip circuit where the McLaren, to the surprise of McLaren themselves, had good grip. This was a one off.
@@mushieslushie Glad not everyone is blind :)
I am not saying they did not improve... but the whole surprise win is totally misunderstood.
this and RB also confirmed to had floor damage cause of the cone/curb
it's just casual dts lando fanboys who are getting excited, they are clueless
Of the myriad online writers of motorsports magazines, some claim that Norris's win was simply Red Bull throwing a bone to the fans of nineteen other drivers. A win of which, never would have occurred without Max and Red Bull acquiescing amid the negative Fan clatter about Red Bulls unfounded dominance over the past three years, especially after having breached the FIA's cost cap during the 2022 season.
I believe this race was rigged
on the hard rock betting app at like 1130 to 12 am on the 4th they had like a +1000 on lando winning outta all other drives and I didn’t bet sadly but I thought that was very interesting then the promotion left during the race
I have to run some gematria coding to see if it was truly rigged
I thought so too, the safety car mistake that gave lando the advantage was very sus
