Hearing this as "Tailgate's theme song" made me thing about him as character so much. I found this kind of surprising for him, which is adorable and depressing 😳

But if you know much about tailgate’s character, you’d know that during nominus’s time, he was part of the lowest class in cybertronian society, hence why he lied about being a waste disposal mech. He feels the constant need to prove that he’s more than he seems. When he woke up six million years later, lots has changed for him, aside from recognising cyclones. He sees this as a new start since the functionalists society is finally behind him. But that doesn’t always mean for the better, hence why I think this is a fitting theme.

Discovered this band in Aug. '92 when they opened for Tori Amos in Orlando. Their drummer wasn't with them that night, for reasons I can't remember, so they performed the entire set unplugged (well, sans drums). Nevertheless, I still was wowed enough to run out to Peaches the very next day and buy this CD.
Brilliantly insightful lyrics, addictive melody & a voice just roughly sincere enough to really pound home the full depth of this song for the ages! 👊🍾🥂

I also saw him on that tour, August 4th (?) at Peabody's Down Under in Cleveland, OH but he was playing all the instruments, solo.
My brother and I were at that same show. He covered Freebird and the audience loved it. Other than the flooded bathroom, it was a great night.
