I miss storylines like these. 2K focus way too much on 'realism" road to WrestleMania and storylines in story mode before then were all pretty entertaining . Story Mode now is pretty plain and boring in my opinion.

I liked the Attitude Era, 30 Years of Wrestlemania, and Showcase modes, they just weren't as original as the Season and Road to Wrestlemania modes.
Season mode = pinnacle of WWE games, better than any Career mode, and more enjoyable than RTWM which was a downgrade in my opinion but still catchy on the 1st run, all Storylines had a ton of possible outcomes, and it could even serve as a Career mode if you wanted to go with your custom char, 2K has a lot work to do before they can touch THQ WWE Games.

Man, I was 8 when Smackdown vs Raw 2007 came out. One of the first Xbox 360 games I ever played. The storylines within this game were pretty entertaining, I miss old WWE games, so much better than current WWE games.
To this day my favourite WWE game the day my character Dynamite ( I know he sounds so generic) made his debut and competed all the way to the end of WWE 12 ( the last great story) with some highlights being his first WWE title win destroying JBL in a ladder match to confirm his rumble entry before winning the match and getting to embarrass Vince at wrestlmania 25 before asking for his release to fly his craft elsewhere
The least believable thing about the Trish thing was WWE having a WWE title match on RAW, and it changed hands and there were no overturns, let alone it being a ladder match, or that a woman won the title.
