    Heh, that rocket is brilliant. Such an easy idea to convey the ride inside the building. You're doing so well for your first time playing! Looks great.

    So, Disney cast member here just talking from experience. If you want to fix your design / decoration score you need to use Disney's backstage wall setups. There is no direct line of sight from onstage to backstage.

    Make sure you add some kind of ride that would transport kids around the kids area! Such as a little railroad with trains, little race cars, little helicopters, or whatever they have in the game. These are those rides that would follow a strict path around the kids area.
    Not sure how well I did explaining that, but I hope I got the point across.

    Super inspiring. I was working on my current park for around 3 hours before watching this and now I just want to jump back on again. I love how real your buildings feel, mine kinda just cover the stalls and I spruce them up a little lol. Very nice work.

    Absolutely love the rocket ride area. I was going to suggest a kiddie area and then you said you were going to do it! Please use a specific color scheme with it like pastels or bright colors! Great work $2.20

    You have an eye for architecture I think - great looking buildings! I kind of wish buildings for Skylines could be assembled lego style like this; the tedium of uv mapping and whatnot saps a lot of fun out of asset creation. I'm not as into theme parks personally, but I'm tempted to try out this game just because assembling structures looks so satisfying, haha.

      I've been saying for years that Lego needs to make their own version of SimCity that allows fully buildable city pieces/building/etc and also blends in Sims style gameplay. It could be the perfect game.

    Did you know, that you can use alt to place items on a grid? And using alt+1, 2, 3, 4 etc redefines the size of the grid. This could’ve been useful, when building the entrance to the simulator for instance. Otherwise great work, I love your building style!

    Love what you're doing here! Some really good idea for the architecture!
    If you wanna add some realism, you might wanna have a look at block break section for roller coasters. For your wild mouse for example, you can't have two cars on a portion of track if there's not a block break in between. (You'll find info everywhere on the internet with better explanations...)
    For the tunnels, not a lot of parks have those. DisneyWorld is actually the only one I've heard of (there's probably other parks tho..)

    Another great episode - I really do enjoy the Google Earth inserts of real theme parks.
    One tiny suggestion tho, when you are placing flat rides such as the two around 8:25 - try not to hide them behind queues and marquees. It's nice to be able to see the flats in motion from the paths, and have the entrance and exit on the sides, sometimes the backside. Same for coasters, althought it's common for Wild Mouses to have the station up front.

    If nothing else you should save the wild mouse as a blueprint and relocate it somewhere else in the park later because a wild mouse is always a good addition to a park

    You could use the open gates scenery on the path beneath the wooden coaster Ares and just make that staff-path the gates work as hide scenery.. so guests won't see what behind is.

    I agree with you on the first person roller coaster mod. I played with it myself a bit and it definitely takes away some of the charm. I liked the on ride roller coaster cam from rct3 but this one just doesn't feel the same.

    Also, you should add ventilation or ac and roof accesses to the roofs, especially the large and bland ones. It would definitely be realistic, and would the park more intriguing to look at for you and I.

    Instead of completely removing the wild mouse, you could maybe make a log flume that rides around the mouse? Since it's you made it minecarts it could be logging/mine themed, which works well together

    The way I interpreted the red building is that it is a barn with a UFO/Alien experience inside of it. Doesn't necessarily fit with the rest of the park but it's a neat theme idea.

  • @Sven-R
    @Sven-R 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    You might want to consider making a blueprint of the park content, editing the scenario to have the delivery building included plus incresing the size of the available land, then restart the game and using the blueprint to build the park again in this new scenario. You will need more starting cash though. Without the pipeline system life will be not very nice later

    I don’t know. I’ve always felt that part of the charm of these games, or at least RCT3 as that’s the only one I’ve played, was the ability to ride the rides you make. To be able to make this crazy ride, and then be able to enjoy it is really the goal of these games. I do understand that this game isn’t the most well-suited for coaster cam, which is unfortunate, but I really don’t care how glitchy it is.

    • @IONATVS
      @IONATVS 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      RCT3 was the first game in the series that had the "ride the rides" feature. RCT 1 & 2 were pretty much just the managements sim & incredibly easy-to-use isometric coaster builder, which was still really fun to play...but not as fun to watch. It had decoration features, but they were mostly for the benefit of the person playing, with only a very minor effect on gameplay. Parkitect seems to take some cues from 3's bigger toolset and mechanical importance to decoration (and that alone makes it more fun to watch), but still sees the management as the core mechanic, not the fantasy of riding the rollercoaster of your dreams. Which is probably as good decision, because its main competitor, Planet Coaster, is really pushing the ride your crazy impossible ideal rollercoaster stuff over the management aspect, so each can carve out their own niche a bit.
