WHAT A MATCH!!! Qinwen was done physically after 1st set each arm weighting 50kg also lost the agility two matches of 3 hours in 24hs only Bia can handle cos she does it multiple times throughout the season. Vamo porra 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 valeu a pena não dormir.

Finally a title this year for Beatriz! Congrats!
BHM played amazingly throughout the entire tournament. So exciting to watch her battle through with that leftie serve. In the final, that first set tiebreak was insane (13-11). BHM just needed to get out of her own way & stop pressing so hard. In the 2nd set, some passive shots lacking pace & depth including short 2nd serves let Zheng back into the match. Ultimately, Zheng's 1st serve let her down too often & BHM was the more consistent player overall winning in straight sets 7-6 7-6 (4) in 2hrs & 51mins.

What made it non-classy? She made Zheng wait long in the net while she doing her crying celebration then walked slowly to the net before shaking hands.

I wouldn’t use the words non classy but it was a cold reception as Beatriz was clearly saying something to her and Q turned her head right away and didn’t look at her.

Maia got 700 points ( undefeated) - $605,000 and Zheng got 440 points - $245,000. Hengqin, Zhuhai is a special economic zone with low taxes at 15% . If it applies to athletes who earned their income there, that's what they would get.

Can someone explain to me why the wrong call at 6-6 12-11 was merely corrected to close the set to Bia and a replay was not needed?
I am a Bia fan but just not sure why it was concluded that way.
