we actually planned go to Golden Mile too but the owner fell sick that day so they informed us they closed the stall, and we had to drop it from our schedule last minute :( would've loved to try it out!
The one at Golden Mile is my fav actually. But sadly the owner wasn't feeling well that day 😢

I’m so happy to see that Annette’s choice is also the same place I always go to for Chicken Rice. I can eat there for lunch everyday if I wanted to, I love it. To me it was always the best Chicken Rice in Singapore people didn’t know about so I love the fact that you guys are showcasing them! 😊

Wow!! I’ve eaten at the Toa Payoh chicken rice since I was a kid and my parents always said it’s the best chicken rice in SG but no one knows abt it. Glad it’s being showcased!!
Another hidden gem I wanna recommend & my personal fav is Sinn Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice at Novena Gardens! The quality of the rice, chicken, sauces, tofu and chicken cutlet are all amazing there :)
Also I didn't know there's such a hidden gem at Toa Payoh Central, now I have to go try it!

My favourite is Fook Seng GoldenHill Chicken Rice located on the ground floor of a rustic 2-room HDB flat at 37 Jalan Rumah Tinggi.
I am a hainanese, and i felt the key to a good chicken rice is the sauce for the chicken: i do not think alot of chicken rice stall can get the sauce right these days. I must say katong chicken rice as a chicken rice does not cut it, its essence is the soup and achar!

Agree that Fu Xiang's roasted chicken tastes very fragrant, probably the most fragrant I've tasted. But their white chicken is overcooked.
Another BIG BUT is that the stall uses poor quality chicken which is fatty under the skin (maybe this is why the roasted chicken is fragrant).
The chilli is definite factory supplied because there are other chicken rice stall with chilli that tastes exactly the same. One such stall using the same chili supplier is Jin Mao Chicken Rice at Blk 628 AMK.
You might like to try Jin Mao because both their roasted and white chicken are equally tender and good - one of the rare stalls that does both equally well. And the stall uses good quality chicken that does not have the layer of fats under the skin.

Sin Kee is my parents all time favorite and when I was young I love to just eat the fragrant rice 🍚 and oyster sauce vegetables only cos I don't eat chicken 🐔 😆

Bugis Street Chuen Chuen Chicken Rice Located at the Hawkerr Center Beside Boon Tong Kee. They originated from Long House Hawker Center which started off at Jalan Bersah Statdium.

Super underrated. It is my family's favourite. For me, my personal favourite is Bishan Kim San Leng's Bugis St Ming Kee Chicken Rice BUT the standard of their chicken rice admittedly isn't as consistently good as before. But on the good days, it's just perfect.
NTU Canteen 2! I live in tpy and have tried the tpy chicken rice, BTK, Loykee etc but the ntu canteen 2 one still always HITS! with cabbage and chilli

My childhood favourite: Bao Mei Boneless Chicken Rice @ Dover, cheap at $3, love roasted meat, and they still serve with soup.
West: Sin Kee Famous Chicken Rice @ Holland Village, ex Michelin bib gourmand. Love the rice.
Maxwell: Ah Tai Chicken Rice.
Toa payoh chicken rice is definitely comforting and has that classic chicken rice flavour. Not the best out there imo but I am biased to classics so do go and try 👍

It will be chatterbox and far east plaza. My fav. Both are long standing more than 20 years selling chicken rice.
You guys should try Twelve Hainanese Chicken Rice at Jalan Kukoh Food Centre. Rice very fragrant, chicken very tasty and the chilli really packs a punch. Must try!!!
Bedok 85 has a boneless hainanese chiken rice stall that is fantastic. Can't find many stalls with more fragrant rice

The Katong one standard drop already la, I think the original chef/cook retired or something. Never see him already. Last time it was damn good, the rice extra fragrant, chicken damn shiok and not very expensive. Now sibei ex.
Yah lah. It's terrible. If you randomly just go dabao, you'll be surprised when you open up and find it full of bones and skin with little flesh.. contrary to being boneless it's just all "social media" reviews.

U guys should try San Xi Chicken Rice at #01-53, Bendemeer Market & Hawker Centre at Blk 29, Bendemeer Road. U guys will like it. Please go at non peak hours as their queue is very long during peak hours. Please try n let me know of what u think.
The Toa Payoh one is the best roasted chicken rice I had so far
my fav chicken rice stall is also Annette's recommendation :D I've first ate there during my secondary school days xD im going to try Loy Kee soon :D :D. the one in Katong Shopping center also one of my top chicken rice stall
there's another my fav which is at Kallang Bahru hawker center, can't remember the name but it's at a corner and there's a UOB stand alone ATM super near the stall

the roasted chicken is the real highlight for fu xiang chicken rice. the chicken skin is crispy and meat is so flavourful and fragrant. now this gem is no longer hidden:/

Please check it out the Kuching's 'ALADDIN Chicken Rice ' (Located at carpenter street / china town) for both roasted and steam white chicken. It might be your TOP 3 in your list tho! For me is TOP 1 till the MAX tho!!! Heaven level :) (Kuching is the capital city of Sarawak state, East Malaysia.)
