    I have had this air purifier for over a year now and it's great. Keep the prefilter clean. The second filter (the white one) is also rinsable as long as you allow it to fully dry before reinserting it back into the frame, then the unit. Keeps those filters clean, extend the life of the HEPA filter. You do NOT need to buy an entire filter kit from Rabbit Air. Filter Monster sells replacement HEPA filters for this unit, as well as replacement charcoal or customize filter (odor, pet, germ, etc.) all solo. Just buy the filters you need, not the whole set.

    The house I just moved into the wife and I have just finished a near full remodel. I finally have a mancave to relax in but I have to finish it first. I must say when I found out the wife would let me smoke cigars I have been wanting to add the ability to smoke and this video has really helped. Hopefully soon the whiskey bar will be finished, hand making a bar takes a while. Vid may be over a year old but I'm glad I found it.

    Based on your review I purchased one of these - the WiFi version. Out of the box to operating took 10 minutes ! Even on turbo speed the noise level is VERY acceptable. I smoked a good 90 min cigar and this thing sucked up the smoke quicker than I could blow it out ! At a little over $600 it IS a tad bit pricey but well worth every penny to be able to smoke in my mancave. Summer temps exceed 110 degrees here so smoking outdoors till fall is not an option ! This is a VERY good product ! 👍

    • @BJMellon
      @BJMellon ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tom-tv4ok Hi Tom ! I had it for about 2 years before giving it to my niece with a pollen filter to help her deal with her allergies. I just purchased a replacement about a month ago ! These things are pricey but they do what they advertise. I have a 12 x 12 den/office where I smoke in doors when it’s 115 degrees outside (we live in the desert). Last weekend my son and I spent about 90 mins in there talking, each of us with a cigar. By bedtime you would not have known two cigars were smoked in that small room. The Rabbit Air will set you back about $700 but it will do exactly what it says it will do.

    • @Tom-tv4ok
      @Tom-tv4ok ปีที่แล้ว

      Amazing thank you for the feedback, Yeah i got into cigars about 6 months ago. Summer in Florida isn't the nicest weather to smoke a cigar outside during the day. I have a music studio and would love to be smoking cigars in there but I have been in fear about my studio sinking like old cigars when guests come over. Yeah the price isn't a worry its more so seeing if its legit from people who also smoke cigars and use this system that aren't being endorsed by the brand. Thank you for the feedback seeing you got it 3 years ago its great to see you still loving it. Thanks all the best@@BJMellon

    • @BJMellon
      @BJMellon ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tom-tv4ok welcome to the world of cigars ! There are many pleasant hours ahead for you 😎 Experimenting with different brands and blends is the best part of being a new smoker - finding what you like ! I’ve been smoking about 7 years. I’ve learned that cigars are much like whiskey - price and branding aren’t the best indicators of quality ! I’ve had a lousy $20 cigar and an excellent $5 one ! So enjoy the journey ! A music studio should make for a great cigar room - I assume they are sealed for sound. If you will be smoking in there regularly (I smoke maybe 2 to 3 cigars a week) and your friends will be also smoking I’d recommend two of the Rabbit Airs - or at least the higher end one. They make one for I think $800 that is supposed to clear larger rooms. If you don’t mind, get back to me in a few months… would like to hear how it goes

    I've heard plenty of great things about the unit, however, seems like it would do even better if it were designed to lay flat (leg like an exhaust fan above your stove), and suspend it Above the area where you do the the majority of your smoking. Obviously, this would catch much more of the smoke and other impurities more efficiently as well as lessen the amount of stains on your wall where the unit is mounted. Just thinking out loud here, nothing more. Thanks for the video friend. Enjoy!

    I picked up the wifi version of this unit as well with the pandemic and working long hours in my home office. I figured it might be nice to have smoke inside once and a while. It's a beautiful unit that hangs on the wall and clears the smoke out very nicely while smoking. However, it did nothing for the Ashy smell the following morning still lingering. Now my office is only 10x11ft with an 8ft ceiling. It should be overkill. I've never smoked in this room before. I had one cigar that lasted an hour. This should have been the best-case scenario. I worked well and cleaning up the smoke but did nothing in order. The office is all computer and leather, no material for the smell to hold on to. I'm not debating on returning the unit. This support is fantastic and ready to help FYI

    My experience with these types of filters have never resulted in smoke smell removal. Yes, the smoke is gone but the smell lingers. You indicated that you have other air flow built into the room and I am sure it is helping to remove the smell. Also, if the right paint is chosen that can limit what sticks to the walls. But, ultimately that room will continue to smell like smoke. The only effect way to remove the smell Ozone. I have wanted an indoor smoking room forever, but I have found no effective way to encapsulate the smell or remove it fully.

    • @demonsluger
      @demonsluger 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    An ozone generator is a much more affordable option although you run it afterwards, not during and there are a few inherent issues to consider when using them. I use both the Rabbit while I'm smoking and an ozone generator after. I've never found the Rabbit to be able to handle two or three people smoking at once as a stand along odor eliminator.

    • @JeremySiers
      @JeremySiers  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree, ozone generators are great! I use one a couple times a week in the room to help really get all the smoke odor knocked out. Just kinda difficult to run all the time because it isn’t good to be around it when it’s running or a couple hours after for that matter. So I only use it a couple times a week. They work phenomenally well though.

    Just discovered this channel--love it. Trying to find a way to create an office space that I can smoke cigars / pipes in -- but it has to keep the smell out, as well as the smoke. Yes, I do realize that the nature of smoke goes into things, but I'm wondering how much I can battle that....mainly because my wife is allergic to the tobacco smoke.
    I've never smoked in the house before--but I'm building a new home, with my full office/studio upstairs in a soundproof environment (I do audiobooks)--but I'd like to find a way to smoke in my office, and not have t drift out into the rest of the house.
    Is it even possible? It would be me smoking on my own, in a 800sq ft office space.
    Suggestions? Even where I could research... Appreciate it.

    Hey I’m opening a cigar shop and lounge. The lounge area will be small, only about 400 sqft. The whole shop will be 1300sqft. If I get 2 of these rabbit airs and put them in the 400 sqft area you think it will do the job? Or even possible buying 3 of these units just to overpower the room.

      @JeremySiers  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      A couple of these guys could definitely go along way to keeping your air quality in good shape. However having a way to exhaust some of the smoke really helps things out. Especially if it is a lounge where you might have 6-8 people smoking, maybe even more. Slapping 2-4 of these in there may do the job though. I have never tested them under that kind of smoke volume. Just food for thought. Good luck with your new business 👍🏻

    Hey Jeremy... you should add your take on replacement filters and the cost. That machine is not cheap, but if it works well, you'd also consider how much it would be to replace the filters.

      It looks like $85.00 for the replacement filter kit. You select the customized filter you want. Either way, $85.00 for all 4 filters

    I live about an hour north of Tampa. Haven’t been able to go outside and enjoy a drink and cigar in forever. Heat index was 113 here today. A room like this would be killer.

    Interested to see what would happen if you exhaled a bunch of smoke directly into the intake, see how clean the air was coming out.

    Thinking about doing a cigar room at home. With the Rabbit Air MinusA2 Air Purifier, AND a ceiling mounted air exchange (Panasonic FV-40VQ4), do I need separate HVAC for the room as well? The room does not have an a/c return, but it has a central a/c and heat supply vent (it's an upstairs bedroom). I don't want cigar smoke/smell traveling through the supply vent to other rooms. If I HAVE to seal off the supply vent (I'd prefer not to), then I'd probably need a dedicated HVAC for the room (it's about 15 x 12). Thoughts?

    The air purifier sort of looks like a heater/electric fire place. Ever thought of putting a mantle over it and fireplace around it??
    Also, as air rises, should it be mounted higher up the wall?? Cool room!!!

    Nice video. I wish I could be like Michael Jordan and just smoke where ever the hell I want. Your set up is similar to what I'd like in my house. Decisions decisions.

    • @milesoldfield9109

      I live alone and *can* smoke wherever the hell I want, but still, I'd rather not have *that* much smoke in my house. I might go with with a kitchen ventilator fan in my smoking area. I don't want to pay a grand or two on fancy filtering that does only a "decent" job of cleaning the air (see the comment Orlando Caison posted about the same time as your own, and Jeremy Siers' response to it).
