@@1toosaucay well there's different editors & directors for different groups. For example, Twice mvs don't look like Stray Kids right? That's not only because of the songs but because jyp works together with many different editors
Yay, he will definitly love it! It was the first time for me to learn about this robot camera arm as i havent noticed that it was used in BTS MVs also, before Alex showed it 😊.
Yessss stray kids has a very recognizable (in my opinion) style of transition/editing in their mvs and it’s so damn fun to watch their stuff. Not to mention their members are damn talented with music and performance. Felix’s voice in this song always hits with that Michelin line.
I almost chocked on my water when I saw the notification! Thank you for checking out Stray Kids. Their most recent music videos have been quite similar to this. Stray Kids is an 8 member group under the label JYP Entertainment that debuted in March of 2018. Of the 8 members there is a rap sub unit called 3racha that does all of the producing, composing, lyric writing etc. for all of their songs. Most of their songs have deep meaning in them and you can find a bunch of different genres throughout all of their discography. From EDM to Ballad, R&B, Pop, etc. All of the members are all-rounders that can sing, dance and rap. 3:45 Their leader Bang Chan aka Chris is Korean-Australian (born in 1997) and at 13(ish) he moved to Korea by himself from Sydney he trained for 8 years before debuting. Chan himself actually collected all of the members to create Stray Kids. (Which doesn't happen often within a company) After he chose all the members they went trough a survival show and debuted as 9.( One of the members left in late 2019 Woojin) He is also the one who formed the sub-unit 3racha 8:06 Lee Know (1998) (the center one with orange hair) He is their dance leader. He is the best dancer among the team along with Hyunjin and Felix (dance-racha). Before becoming a trainee was actually a back-up dancer for BTS. As well as being a great dancer Lee Know is also an amazing singer that can reach high notes. 0:46 Changbin (1999) He is a member of 3racha and is one of the fastest rapper in k-pop. Along with being a great rapper Changbin is an amazing singer with a beautiful singing voice you wouldn't expect when hearing him rap. Changbin has help to write Stray Kids' discography with Chan and is an amazing lyricist. 5:28 Hyunjin (2000) is an amazing dancer along with Lee Know. He is known as one of the best dancer in k-pop of the 4th generation. (check out his choreography for 'playing with fire') Hyunjin is also an amazing vocalist and rapper and is known as the visual of the group, and is also the tallest :). 3:26 Jisung (2000) is also apart of 3racha. Known for his raps with deep lyrics as well as being an amazing freestyle rapper. Jisung as well has an amazing voice as he is one of the members that can one of the highest notes in the group and is great at belting. Along with being a good dancer he is also quite funny. 5:10 Felix (2000) is Korean - Australian born and raised in Sydney Australia. He came to Korea at 17 right before entering the survival show barely being able to speak Korean. Felix is well know for his deep voice that does not match is personality which is bright and bubbly. He is also known for his dance along with Lee Know and Hyunjin; and most are shocked to hear his singing voice as he can actually go quite high. 3:48 Seungmin (2000) is the main vocalist of Stray Kids with an outstanding clear voice. He recently got a lot of recognition from covering a song (Love Poem - Mayfly originally IU) with members from Ateez and BTOB on a show called Kingdom. Seungmin is also an amazing dacer as well. 6:08 I.N. (2001) is the youngest of the group and is also part of the singing-line (aka vocal-racha) I.N. has an amazingly unique voice and is often babied by the rest of the members as they love him so much. I.N. has also proven himself to be an amazing dancer as well with. I think most of their music is produced by 3RACHA.They all are really talented. They can sing, dance, rap, produce and the fact that they love each other so much like family is everything.I thought BTS would be the only group I would be into when I got to know them deeper but Stray kids are irresistible.
@Little Miss The deep voice is so much a part of him-as is the squeaky high voice, and the thick Aussie, and that weird laugh when he’s over excited, and the perfectly executed hopping spinning kicks. And the motion motion motion. Felix is a cartoon character.
I think this was the first time someone was impressed with the music video so much that he didn't freak out hearing felix voice lol Great reaction by the way and yes stray kids are under jyp which has really good mv
K-Pop is heavily performance based, as is its Korean theater ancestry. So today that translates to insane music videos. Someone with Alex’s background I would think would be bound to find things to appreciate in the genre’s MVs.
Match cuts tend to be really popular in K-pop because it’s a way to show off the precision and consistency of the choreography. They’ll film the entire dance in different outfits and locations several different times each so they have options in case someone was a little off in one performance, but there’s a lot of pressure to be exactly right so that you can create that feeling of flicking effortlessly across different looks and vibes with no distractions. The editing part is easy, but the precision required by the performers to make those edits possible is honestly superhuman.
you're only the second creator i've seen who's seen this and made a comparison to how kendrick does his vids. so cool. you're completely right. and this m/v definitely started a new era ok kpop m/vs for me. like you can sense a clear delineation between pre-god'd menu era and post, which is where we are now. everyone definitely upped their came work, art direction, post prod, transitions, and just overall vid production. gm will always be iconic for that..
I seriously love this kind of video cause it gives me a whole new perspective from where to look at the mv. I usually focus on the dance, the song and their aesthetic but I’m definitely going to watch music videos with some new eyes from now on.
I would suggest doing "Back Door" next, and then go back to the beginning and start with "Hellevator" going in order from there so you can get a feel for their storyline and concepts.
stray kids has the best mvs and transitions ! even their unveil tracks and bsides mvs are rlly good ! stray kids never disappoints everyone unless u r an anti 💀
The company behind this group, and more popular groups, JYP, has recently been working with a new studio in the production of their music videos, at least from what I can tell. Most of the music videos are stylised by the use of a Bolt Camera (Motorised Robot Arm), camera movement complimentary to choreography, unique and creative transitions, and lots and lots of match cuts. In the last year and half I think all the music videos from this company have really improved. I would say the ones that you would probably enjoy would be videos like Breath by GOT7 and Mafia in the morning by ITZY. Her story line goes 1.Xtra 2.bomb 3.do or die 4.revolution. Hope you check her out :)

I'm happy you got a chance to react to stray kids. Most of their music is edm and rap but they are very diverse and also do many other genres in their albums. They are alos self-produced.
im only army but this song slaps i can never skip this HAHAHAH
Love the reactions as always, a really cool artist I recommend reacting to is AleXa she has a whole storyline (that isn't as complex as the BTS universe lol) and a video called the 'do or die story bible' (something like that) which is like a short film explaining a bit more of the story. Her story line goes
1.Xtra
2.bomb
3.do or die
4.revolution.
Hope you check her out :)
gods menu, back door, all in these are made with same director!!!!
