Interesting video. I don't use growth factors or any Osmosis products but after listening to you will def consider it as I have mature skin.
I just happened upon Dr. Dray, a dermatologist with a TH-cam channel and learned quite a bit regarding humectants and how quickly our epidermis can dry out just from using water and waiting till our faces are dry to apply product. She recommends not drying your face at all and quickly while your face is still very wet applying a humectant like Hado Labo Skin Plumping Gel Cream. Also, she applies her Tretinoin once her face is dry and after applying humectent and moisturizer. Like you, she's big big big on SPF and said the same thing you did...nothing else matters if you don't apply and reapply daily sunscreen. She's a minimalist when it comes to makeup and skincare but I learned a lot from just that one video.
From someone who just used Pear Soap to wash my face and would slap on some drugstore moisturizer I've come a long way with my skincare. I buy nothing without checking ingredients before purchasing now and you are the reason why. I first began watching your tutorials for makeup tips but now I'm more interested in the health of my skin. You have taught me so much Elle that at 61 my skin looks better than it has in 30 years! I was just telling my husband today that my skin has improved so much I feel confident enough now to go out with minimal foundation, even just some concealer for my dark circles and a tinted moisturizer. And it's all you! I love watching others but you are my Holy Grail of skincare mavens! Thank you for the impact you've had on my life. Much much love ❤❤❤❤

Hi Elle, fascinating video as well as very informative. The two experts with their own brands have me puzzled as they were more about promoting their products, I understand that but to me they didn't answer the questions, maybe I have missed something.
Listening to everyone has validated what I use for my mature skin, that being retin a, vitamin c, peptides, growth factors & sunscreen + sunscreen.
I must say you certainly provide food for thought 🤔😘😉

I enjoy hearing from these tenure skin experts. I’ve learned so much and can’t wait for more episodes. But I find that Ben drives his products hard. I really hope you continue to search and test products with the core ingredients. I hope this isn’t a turning point towards an all Osmosis skin care line. I watch you for the deep dive information on skin care and I love it. And to top it off no one else is really doing it. I used to watch Brianna Stanko before her shift to 100% Osmosis and felt I was been sold each time I watch her episodes. I can’t afford to spend $400 a quarter on skin care. I left her channel for a while and only recently came back for a 2nd chance. We need people like you Elle, to help educate on the core ingredients and their supporting ingredients without the push towards one brand. I hope you remain as you are now. You are so relatable and I just love your channel and your view immensely. Keep on doing you!

I can't tell you how very much I appreciate this series. For those of us who can't afford all luxury products, you are teaching us about ingredients in products. I think that's the most important thing, no matter what the price range. Thank you so very much for doing this series Elle. And Sephora better give you the award!

Enjoying this series. I cannot use prescription Retin A it irritates my skin and dried it out making me look older even with moisturizers. I had to stop after 6 months. I absolutely love Osmosis anti aging and it’s done great things for my skin. I also love Truth Treatment products which I use when I switch off from
Osmosis. I am going to definitely try Le Mieux. I checked out their website and the products look amazing with good ingredients 👍🏼

what I have read is that growth factors do not penetrate skin rather sit on skin. However they do work as they bind to the skin receptors and tell deeper skin cells how to behave. Jury is out still about safety as no long range info has been collected.

I am LOVING this series bc I enjoy hearing viewpoints from different skincare experts. Interesting info about Osmosis. I always thought Retin A was end all, be all. PS. Ok I’m not getting notifications of new videos or I’m just late to the party. 😆 I’m going to respectfully disagree with Dr. Ben Johnson. He has his own line to promote. I ordered the Osmosis alternative to Retin A and it was the worst thing I’ve used. Also antioxidants for the face. In my professional opinion as a nurse, antioxidants are helpful internally and externally. Larger molecules will not break down and be absorbed into the skin. I suggest researching these types of products. I have a dermatologist that sells his own brand of skincare as well. I don’t use it and he’s fine with that. It’s a personal choice. I use Retin A every night with a buffer. Usually Marula oil. The advice I’ve been given is less is more. My skin is thriving at nearly 56 years old. I love this series and you look so so stunning Elle...it’s hard to focus on the video with that smoking lip color. 😂😍❤️😘

Ooooh right off the bat, this party person is feeling pretty on pointe !
I have just started to use all of your anti-aging ingredient recommendations.
Thanks to the perfect combination of my two favorites You and Sharon Capehart, I’ve started (a little late to the party) using : Tacha Essence - essence (who knew ? Not me); Maelove, The Glow Maker; SkinMedica HA5, TNS Essential Serum, and TNS eye repair at night. I’m also using DEJ eye cream during the day and Peter Thomas Roth retinol pm serum. Dang girl - It’s a full time job ! Lol
Ohhh when I think about all the products I have purchased on Easy Pay thru the Q....that I’m no longer using....
Argh, if only I knew Then, what I know NOW....
But it’s okay, gotta start somewhere right ?
Thank you Elle for informing and teaching us how to be our most beautiful selves !!
    Back to the party....
    ❤️
Whoa....hold the phone...I’m switching to Osmosis products....
    Lol
    New day, new info.
Looking forward to your skin care update.
Which by the way, your “glow” is beyond !!

  • @jodylee8451

Unfortunately I find it hard to take too much notice of someone who’s answers were clearly designed to promote his expensive brand which is not affordable to the majority of people. His message... osmosis products are the only ones that are safe and truly effective yet I’ve had dramatic results just sticking with the basic principles in skincare for ageing skin..The A,B and C’s along with glycolic acid. And all brands I use are way more affordable. Whilst Ben Johnsons answers may have some merit he would have been better off not pushing his brand. You asked for an opinion not a segment on ingredients from the Osmosis line and why their products are superior.

I’m loving this series. Dr. Ben Johnson’s info was really interesting. I would like to try Osmosis in the future and am looking forward to what you have to say about it.
I recently started using a formula with Tretinoin from Curology. I’m on my 2nd bottle and the Tretinoin was upped from 0.01% to 0.02%. What’s a good % to be at for anti aging? The formula also contains 4% Niacinamide and 5% Azelaic acid. When layering products with this formula, can I use a serum, etc, which also contain Niacinamide or Azelaic acid?
    Thanks so much, Elle🍃🌸.

I just discovered your videos, and I love their scientificity and their precision! thank you !! I discovered the Best by looking for a serum for fine lines of expression. I indeed want a serum containing "botox-like" ingredients. After some research, I found that SNAP 8, (octapeptide-3), SYN-AKE (dipeptide) and Vialox (Pentapeptide-3) were the most effective at reducing muscle contractions on the skin. The RX Complex serum contains SNAP + SYN-AKE. But these botox-like active ingredients are not really highlighted in the product description. So is it suitable for fine lines of expression? What is the concentration of these two peptide complexes? O have you an other Idea of serum with botox-like active ingredients ? Many thanks !

Love this video.... i love Osmosis and LeMiuex and truth treatment. To me you have to watch videos from dr ben Johnson. Each dr has different views. I know elle is awesome and always is my go too. Elle loves growth factors and i love osmosis growth factors due to having cancer. And i have seen a difference in my 49 year with less exfoliating and using the above products.

When you get a chance I'd like to know what you think of the Osmosis products. They are pricey and some of them don't have any reviews so its hard to tell what other people think. Also, I'm no expert but the ingredients list on those products doesn't seem to explain the high cost. Maybe you could find a dupe for the products?

Hey everyone! I’ve been using Retin-A micro in .06% for months and I still get peeling, which is annoying. If I wanted to switch to Osmosis, which one should I choose? Renew or Correct? I know that Retinaldehyde is different/ gentler. I also want to add growth factors to my routine.

You look AMAZING! Loving those lips girl! So I'm trying to up my skincare game and am wearing one under my makeup every morning. What do you use to "re-apply" throughout the day? I mean I don't really want to rub a lotion all over my already done face every two hours. Any tips, trick, or product suggestions? Thanks lady!

Love the colours on your skin and eyes today
Looks great. I appreciate the overall advice and not specific product suggestions but do feel any Dr affiliated with their own line is bound to promote their ingredients deck and line which makes them biased in my view. Still like to listen though 😂😂

CAROL PETRONELLI YES!! I wouldn’t wear sunscreen only if I was in a cave six feet under the ground! When I am staying inside I wear 20-30 spf, outside 50 spf 😉
