So I made this but my friend is complaining it’s too floppy and loose and I’m wondering how because I used 3 strands of the yeye yarn
Yea…3 strands is actually big nd so will the ruffles triple in size too
Except u make a reduction on the increases
If not not I’d say just stick to my tutorial if u dont want the ruffle volume that dramatic 😉
I made a ruffle hat that was loose on the head. The ruffles frame my face nicely tho, so I bobby pin the crown to my head - problem solved.

I used ur measurement for both the body side and diameter of the head but mine looks big 😢.same hook too ,any help please?
It depends on the yarn size nd tension used…
But firstly, you should be using your own head circumference and diameter not mine.
Please how do I know how to measure the diameter of my head and apply it to the making of the hat please
Run a tape measure round ur head,what ever u get,divide it by 4
Eg. 22/4 =5.5 inches

Make 5 rows from the base circle, maybe your head is smaller , or use a smaller hook 3,5mm

What if its a 5mm hook
It can go buh the tension will be more loose than that wic is made with a smaller hook

you can follow the pattern like the hooks and rows ect but it really doesn't matter if your using a smaller or bigger hook or thick or thin yarn all it is is your stiches are going to be smaller or bigger thats it :)
