There is a thing called a counterfeit or knockoff Jesus. Jesus told his disciples to not be deceived for many will come in his name claiming that they are Jesus
(Mt 24:4-5). When someone comes singing songs and calling on the name of Jesus, isn't this a form of coming in the name of Jesus? That's why we are to test every spirit against the word of God (1 Jn 4:1). Not everyone who claims to be of Him was sent by Him.

I'm ashamed of some of these comments. I'm not an avid church goer but these people are there. THAT'S what's wrong with the world, quick to second guess someone and what they're doing. Judging someone's motives, faith? SMH shameful. Exactly, And if you ever get a chance to travel to the motherland, This type of worship and singing and chants are very common. When we see our own culture in action, it amazes me that we are so against it. We have been so indoctrinated with the european style of worship that when we see our original style, we frown on it. He's just expressing that which is ALREADY within him...And he's well traveled so he is not locked into the culture that is not of his own people. You will NEVER see the Hispanics or Greeks ect acting like anything other than themselves. Go to one of their feast!! They celebrate their GOD in their culture, as they should.

(Mt 7:15-20). Where are his good fruit? Singing about Jesus is not good fruit if you are not born again and practicing a lifestyle of obedience. It is just strange fire offered unto God, yet to undiscerning Christians and the emotional, it is an outward expression of salvation.
@Wacucu, don't twist the word of God. In Phil 1:12-18, Paul is referring to the gospel being preached, as the way John the Baptist and Christ and the others preached it. He is not talking about sing. Rom 10:14-15 says "how then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent?..." The word says preach, not sing.
Mt 24:4-5 Jesus told His disciples not to be deceived. He said many would come in His name, claiming to be Him, and mislead many. Many come in the name of Jesus now, claiming and pretending to be His disciple. This is exactly what Kanye, a self-proclaimed Satanist, is doing. Yet many in the churches, especially black churches, are quick to deify and defend celebrities quicker than they do the word of God. Many feel just because someone mentions Jesus's name in a song or their vocabulary, Jesus is being glorified. News flash: Satan, who was once Lucifer (the chief musician in heaven), deceives and misleads many away from God through music.

How can we question how the move of God flows. We gotta stop being so judgmental. Apostle Paul was a stone cold accuser of the brothers of faith. People knew trouble was in the midst when he was around. But God delivered him…and he became a stalwart servant of God. A solider for Christ. Making a mark everywhere he went. spreading the gospel and doing good. Oh my, and King David, oh my, folks thought he was crazy. He did some crazy stuff. (read up). however, he was used by God in many non-traditional ways.
So, let us not play big God and tear this young man down. Let the Lord use him as lives are being ministered to.
I am an old school sho nuff COGIC woman. I am COGIC! Just call me Mother Rosenbloom. Yes, I am on the mothers board, and I don't play when it comes to things of God. I know Jason White, the choir director, he is a minister and his wife is an evangelist, I know God placed them there, as God gets all the glory. My discernment of agreement stands with these young people as they worship the Lord in spirit and truth. They have my attention, and they are moving with power. Instead of folks being so critical, pray for Kanye. We are experiencing a miracle before our eyes. just hearing testimonies across this land is amazing.
For those who are banishing this movement of God…check yourself! God loves you and wants to do something new and powerful in your life. Just let Him do it. Open your hearts to receive what God has for you. Open your hearts.
