Nothing ready around here yet you have beat us to it George. some beautiful lighting in that video and them sky's my favorite type of sky but not so welcome when your trying to get the harvest in. new combine looks and sounds great and some reach on that pipe very impressive. hope we get to enjoy Liz in hers when the time comes.
I'm surprised about seeing you combining winter barley already - I'm about 60miles north of you and it is easily more than a week away yet, in fact I think the OSR will come sooner. Folks are just beginning to desiccate it now.
Great vid George. Just wondering what the tank on the back of the header was for. I haven't seen that on a combine before? Keep the vids coming they never disappoint.
Thanks again George your videos are always a joy to watch you do good filming. I got a few questions for you? 1 > how often does the header cutting blades need to be sharpen? 2 > what is that big white tank on the right side of the header for? 3 > I see that the header can be picked up and locked into place remotely by the driver, do you think the tech will next be able to remotely also auto connect the PTO drive shafts as well? I thinking if the PTO was in a set fixed place on the header that matches the fixed place the shafts are then with the right sort of angled gear head on the header PTO, a sliding gear unit could move onto the PTO from the combine and because of the angled gear PTO head auto centre the driving gear like a hand going into a glove sort of action? Just a idea to make the combining more easy to do! Plus I think after seeing the non- UK combine headers which have their own road wheels and tow bar that fold away so you don't need a header trailer. the draper type, I would think that be better than a trailer being needed which can get in the way? All idea's to make using the combines easier and save time and over all money in the long run! You farmers do allot of very hard and for the rest of us non- farmers important work. so anything to help speed up that work I think be worth it? Thanks. :)
Colin Campbell I would hope they never allow the hydraulics and PTO to connect automatically, as it will stop people from getting out and having a look at the header and spotting any issues before they become a big problem. To many operators these days don't bother checking their machines over as it is. The time lost getting out and connecting the PTO is so minimal.
Finlandfarmer wild oat is a huge problem for farmers in Britain. I've had to go into some fields of winter wheat for a farmer and pull them up. I've known the farmer for years.
Is there really so much wild outs above that barley. Here in Finland that much wild outs leads big problems with agricultural authorities. All wild outs has to be picked or sprayed. Here if farmed does not get rid of the wild oats by himself, authorities can do that at farmers expense.
lovely looking combine that is, make the old Massey 788 'special' look so so tiny. I was dead chuffed to be driving that in its day (1971)

fair enough.. just a random idea I thought would help but your right they must always check the combines?
If no one is doing the pto thing you should do it
This is good filming? Holy sht you have low standards! It's all noise!
Great video!
How is your barley yielding this year?
we have a 670 terra track with a v900 header also started yesterday.!!
about 2-3 weeks till it will be ready where I live
Curious why they didnt do a couple of headlands first George ?
Would this combine be able to run a V1050??
wow, early! =D a few weeks left on the grain in Sweden!
Hi George: What is the purpose of the plastic bin and gray hoses on the back of the head?
Has that condbibe got grenstar on the roth
Saw a lot of wild oats on that field. Is it a problem weed in Britain?

Mad Tractor88 Same thing here, we even have a law that makes us use chemicals or hand picking to get it reduced.

Didn't seem like they were loading the wagons very full,
Why do you use greenstar rather than claas auto steer
How fast was Liz going
you are soo lucky
Who else noticed the GPS thing on the cab? For me it looks just like a john deere one
Don't you pick the wild oats Geordie
how much weight can the bailey carry?...
Kevin Willis 14t
Do you have tractor+trailer weight restrictions in the UK?
Yes, your not meant to go over 31 tons by law.
Jake Olley Unless you're a contractor then you just get on as much as will fit.
it is the time of year again
600th like 😊
looks like there is a lot of common wild oats on the field, not good..
Hi george
Cor tiny compared to us 770 and 760 both on 35 foot headers

Blimey I've started?? We are just north of pboro another week least
Uve
Never see Europeans running flex draper heads, is there a reason?
Jerome Miller our crop is so much thicker than yours so we don't need draper headers
