- If only we are ready to forget 2 things, we can achieve ultimate peace in life. But alas! Erasing things from our mind at will is not as easy as it sounds! It becomes possible only we are ready to remember 2 things!
What are these 2 things to forget and 2 things to remember? Sathya Sai explains it so beautifully and simply. This was part of the discourse that Swami delivered to us 12th Grade students during an interview session in Trayee Brindavan in early 2000. These lessons have been validated for me via personal experiences - one before travelling with Swami to Delhi and the other during a drive to my aunt's place in Thane, Mumbai.
This is a talk delivered in the Satsangh Hall at Prasanthi Nilayam on the 17th of March, 2017.
(During the talk, I think I forgot to complete the narration of one incident involving Prof. Anil Kumar. Here is the completion:

@@saistudent co incidentally I also did that Delhi trip following Swami at the last minute;did the Kumela;had a dip in the Ganga and eventually found accomodation-room number 108;and had the Tirupati experience and returned to Parthi on the same day that Swami returned. All Swamis grace for being part of His last ever trip before mahasamadhi. Feel so blessed 🥲

Dear Ar jun a vind! I have a question and take the liberty to ask. If others do bad things to you,one should forget anout it. But,should one reactie to bad behaviour or just keep silent and pray? It seems to me,that if so,they can continu doing bad? It is as you conform the bad behaviour? Isn t that a sin too? For example if one is lying,sheeting or whatever bad behaviour you are meeting in live,should you confront or let it go? Thanks! If you find the time to reactie or the inspiraton to talk about this dilemma!
Yes. Respond to evil and do what needs to be done - as your dharma and not because the heart is consumed with anger and hatred.

Thanks for yet another beautiful video. I have a slightly different interpretation regarding the "forget the Harm" part, which i have believed in since decades. In Geeta, Krishna says Vinashaya chadushkritam. This sentence to me meant that anyone who harms the protocol that has been put in place by the supreme will be punished appropriately. Which means even God puts limitations on how much slack can be given and he himself is a witness to the punishment meted out. From an individual perspective there is an old saying that Bhagwan ka danda insaan ke dande se bhaari hota hai, which means when God hits the pain will be far more excruciating than what any individual can deliver. So the individual can leave the matter of punishment to God and be a witness of the punishment meted out to the perpetrator rather than delivering the punishment themselves. So the individual need not forget the harm done but entrust the ensuing consequence in lords hand and become a witness.
