- It's so controversial! SHOULD or SHOULDN'T I paint the timber floors?....If I do....WHAT COLOUR? White, Blue, Black, Grey....? Come paint shopping with The Mom of Ten. We need to make a decision FAST! Cleopatra is sleeping again! LOL.

I love watching this family with my own children. They have such great morals. They are truly a family I would have no problem letting my children be around.
I absolutely love natural hardwood floors. People pay lots of money here in the states to have them put in their houses. But I understand they're too dark for you. Lol Any color you choose will be beautiful!

I’m thinking it’s more about having a cleaner, fresher start than about preserving the original floor.
They don't need to restore or keep ...the whole house will be fresh clean and white
I grew up in Texas in a family of 13 kids. We did a major project in our home twice a year which was painting the interior of the house once a year in the Spring and doing some other project during the Summer. I remember all of us kids helping
based on our age. We listened to music and sang while we worked. It was fun and I have good memories of these times. Your kids will remember these times fondly.
Love pastels they are so vintage and cool and comfortable to the eye enjoy cannot wait to hear about Cleopatra god bless and peace.......

I think she mentioned that the house is getting demolished after they move out anyways. That’s why they were able to make any changes they wanted!

Next time you use Silicone for filling in gaps, when you want a straight edge and clean line, put washing up liquid on your finger and drag it over the wet silicone. My son is a window/door fitter by trade, he uses this method. Perfect straight, clean edges every time.

so close to a million!!! congrats....and no offense to others who are religious...but these guys are the only ones i can even watch without feeling like scripture is being shoved down my throat every minute. its lovely to be able to enjoy people different from you without feeling like they are pushing themselves and their ideologies onto you
Re-stain the floors you can lighten them up that way. But if you choose to paint, a light grey or soft grey is always nice. Keeps things bright and goes with so much.
There is a tool you can get to make silicone look nice, basically you run your silicone sealant, instead of using your finger you use the tool. Makes it look super neat. 👍♥️👍
The house is just temporary, just needs to be clean and function

I like white walls too. Color makes the room shrink, and if you change decor; white always blends with everything!

You could strip the floors and stain them with a clear sealer. Then the floors would be a much lighter wood tone. On the other hand, I do like painted white floors, too.

Painting the floors always looks nice when it is first done. My husband painted ours white. They need so much work and if they are not prepare correctly and you will need to use a very rugged paint. I am sure whatever color you pick will be beautiful. I love your family. Excited to see how the house turns out and the newest member of your family.
For your next house...you could have had every room painted via rollers in the time it took to cover everything that was not to be painted. I've seen it done both ways, and rollers are faster, especially with that number of people helping.
It'll look lovely if it comes out looking like a driftwood white (not a weathered greige, but more of sunbleached effect) if it's the floor your working on .

I love painting, when i was around late elementary early middle school i think i painted my old bedroom to match my bed set i found (the bed spreed set resembled the one bella had in twilight) it was a light baby pink with purple splatter paint( used a tooth brush for the splatter paint) the i painted it again when i was high school i think a light aquaish blue color know in my bedroom it's the color they had it when we bought the house like a light brownish white. Ps love that u guys are pretty much posting a video a day, i get so excited to see how the house is coming along not to mention getting excited to wee if could this be another pregnancy vlog!!!

I would keep the wood flooring natural, don’t paint them, sand and re-stain them. Natural wood is my preference, I’m sure whatever you do will look nice!
It would be easier to place round over up against the baseboard

That looks like a Citron , used during Sukkot. A near perfect Citron can command high dollars. During Sukkot.
we bought our first house a year ago and the work is never ending lol. exposed brick as some of our house is underground on parts. bits falling off... its crazy. 1920's but structurally solid. I know this is a temp home for you all, and hope you all enjoy your stay there after all the hard work. Will be such a shame to see it knocked down. ❤

I love the natural wood; even if some damage. My opinion is PLEASE don't paint the beautiful wood floors. A sanding and varnish sealer will make them look beautiful again.
I think this is a temporary house that they probably just want to paint for sanitary reasons. I thought she said something about this house being torn down after they leave. Not sure but I think they just want it clean and able to move into ASAP. Painting makes more sense than trying to preserve the floors at this point.
The owners are destroying the house in the future 🙂

To fill those large cracks you need carpenters foam. We call it carpenter in a can 😊. My husband is a builder and that is what he uses for quick/temporary fixes. Hope this helps.

It looks like a nice place it’s too ..it would be cool it they sold the whole place at a cheap price. Since it would be a fixer upper but it would be a place for a few short years till you save for a bigger home..God Bless

I vote grey for the floors--modern darker greys look very nice. But, of course, ultimately it's your choice, lol. I think it's going to look good no matter what you do. And, ultimately, it is temporary. I've been enjoying watching the house project. Thank you for sharing. God bless you guys!

I would sand them and give them a very light white wash. I would not full on paint them.

We had cracks like that, just bought some quarter rounds, cause they are cheap, and used a bradley nail gun to attach. painted them first to make sure they matched. It was the fast lazy way.

Instead of caulking the wood floor and base board, you could add shoe molding or a quarter-round mounding. I think that would give it a finished look.
Yeah that sounds expensive. They didn't want to spend the extra money because this house will be demolished in about 9 months. They're saving the money for the new house 🙂

Chambray blue would be pretty on the floors. Like a light denim blue.
