That is an amazing box set! I am a huge Rush fan and a big fan of their debut album. I would love to own this set someday. Love everything that it comes with.
don't underestimate it. John Rutsey is a great drummer, in his own right. The first RUSH album ROCKS !!! Great tunes, great debut album, by a bunch of teenagers. The tunes still hold their own today.
He got a LOT of sound out of that EXTREMELY primitive drum kit. Considering what Neil Peart had to work with, Rutsey really didn't feel out of place with both Geddy and Alex in those early days. Imagine if Rutsey continued to play drums in another band. He would have had a solid career in a less-complex Rock band.
Is this reissue worth the cash? I'm having a tough time finding they're albums and only want the best of the best. So was wondering is this was any good.
Ah paper, glorious paper. For how much$$? For a vinyl only remaster, by a studio who’s mixes Rush never liked & never used. And of their least impressive releases to boot, not even any live recorded shows. What good is this so-called Anniversary issue? Only for corporate greed my friends.
And therein is the ultimate fail: people who collect these things for monetary value. The whole point of the music is to open it, experience and share it. It would be like owning a Van Gogh and keeping it in a crate in a vault in Switzerland when you live in Cleveland. Was very pleased that the DJ was actually going to play it. My two.

More Zeppelin than Zeppelin! Better too!

Albert Alatorre I recommend starting with a farewell to kings. That album is pressed on heavy weight 200g vinyl.
How come I've got a sudden urge for a hard-boiled egg?
