    Thank you for the video. I have a leak on the same pipe, mine is a little more obvious though! Ive been going through the various parts manuals online trying to identify it with no luck until I caught a glipmse on your video so thank you for posting that!

    A length of garden hose over the coolant outlet tends to make it a cleaner operation.

    absolute nightmare job if you are leaking at that metal pipe that wraps around the engine at top of gearbox bell housing. Definately a garage job if pipes rotten with rust and spring a leak

      Yeah, it was a horrible job to do, so many difficult obstacles but I managed it:

      I'll hope for you buddy. Hope it's just a seal. Also remember the thermostat is just above the pipe I replaced so it may be your thermostat leaking

    Andy, need your help here mate, ive got a zafira vauxhall turbo 1.8 just noticed leak dripping of coolant just conection pipe and tank reservoir. Been thinking to use a jubilee lock ring to tighten , i dont see where to find those tighten rings to replace broken one.

    • @junkendriven

      The factory pipes are crimp sealed so can't be tightened or adjusted so yes you're best off splitting/removing the factory fit and replace with jubilee.
      Careful if it's onto the expansion tank as that plastic is brittle and tightening too much can cause it to shatter

      Not a lot to be honest until the pipe let go fully and then I did, until then I think I discounted it as a/c condensation

    I have the Z20LET bud and my leak is bad. Its allover the alternator and airbox any ideas?

    • @junkendriven
      @junkendriven  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, not good by the sounds of it, but I'm not sure as that has a different layout so I'm not familiar with what is in that vicinity. But looking at an engine layout for Z20LET I can see there is a main coolant pipe running to radiator around that area (From block going forward to radiator). So I think first things would be checking those larger coolant pipes. Good luck

      @@junkendriven thankyou i surely will. Had a steady leak for about a year now, gradually getting worse. Had a proper look today, it seems the bottom radiator hose to engine has a split in it underneath and is dripping just were it meets the engine. lucky i saw it really.
