Considering that they refer to Pottsfield as holy ground, I'd definitely call it a heaven. My personal headcanon, the deceptively nice cat that piloted the pumpkin thing, which seemed to direct everyone in the festival, is the caretaker of Pottsfield. He was certainly was the judge or rulekeeper of the place. I think the cat was an actual angel who guarded these lost souls. Angels have been described as taking the form of animals. My two cents.
