Thanks for making videos like these. I enjoy the many tutorials you've put up, and appreciate the time you take to make these. The only drawback of having long videos, without categories or combos laid out in the description (like your ryu tutorial) is that its hard to go back and review, for training. So much info to digest and hard to find the right place in the video once I want to review. Keep up the work and really enjoy your stuff.
You can actually combo HP Shoryuken after his target combo in the corner without having to FADC. It's also pretty good for pushing someone into the corner (It pushes them further compared to Hadoken).
after light tatsu. for resets. cr lp makes them land fastest and thus closest which is good for jumping mixup but also cr mp puts most the cast out of "shoryuken range" but because they land further out its great for land ex axe for a far over head. i see alot of ppl online doing tatsu cr.lp fw.mp for little damage and no knock down when they had a bar to burn on tatsu cr.mp ex axe for more damage and knock down. just a few set ups. also sometimes worth crossing under in corner on resets if u think u can get the win. love the lk stomp to red thank u for the new tool
Not sure if it was talked about but stand lk is great at beating out Adons JT if u don't want to commit to a DP or can't do it fast enough to counter EXJT. Love the vids
Not really. Just wondering if I or anyone I know could help you learn firsthand. Your best hope is finding a good player of your character (Evil ryu?) and watching a lot of footage, and ideally also making friends with people who are pretty good and asking them a lot of questions.
+Kamran Tahir It's okay to take a lot of losses. More so than any other multiplayer genre, fighting games have a very steep learning curve. You're going to lose in the beginning, just because there's a lot you have yet to learn and your execution isn't honed just yet. That's okay, though. Losing isn't something that should discourage you. Success isn't a given, and it wouldn't be very meaningful if it were a given. You've got to practice and put work in for the wins, but the fact that you have to work for them makes them more satisfying and meaningful.
those versions are different versions of the game, unless you have some friends you want to have fun with id stick to usf4 version, thats the version you play in ranked

Yes, it's range dependent. You have to use EX fireball point blank, but at ranges where the fireball combos from the cr. MK but doesn't hit on its first frame, you get extra frames to combo stuff. Namely U2.
thanx can you dumb down that last sentence any further though? Because what happens to me is that i will haft to wait for the fireball to hit to even do fadc instead if instantaneously like i would normally do
By doing it at a range the fireball will only hit a few frames late (a few 60th's of a second). But you only need a few extra frames to combo E.Ryu's U2.
ApexGamer It would need to be a mechanical keyboard or something high quality that didn't mind if you were hitting lots of buttons at once. And if you got used to it it would hurt your ability to transition onto other control methods, such as pad or stick, if you eventually care enough to get them, which is really problematic since no console lets you use keyboard as an input method so you won't be able to play at meetups/tourneys. Soooo, IMO, it's a really bad idea. But yes it's possible and people do it.

+Bafael he could use a hitbox arcade. I have one and I believe it's as good as a stick for execution. But yes, a mechanical keyboard at a minimum.
I plink on pad all the time. I put my fingers between the two buttons and put slight weight emphasis on the one I want to hit first. It's very consistent for me.

I really don´t understand how is it that people would need tutorials on how to play shotos. I mean, grapplers could be very scrubby, but shotos are Basic, well rounded characters (which for that description are overpowered). At this point would just be like a combo tutorial and that´s it, and every other set up. You are really good at explaining stuff and I would understand people would like you to teach them and all, and I also know you are mostly a shot player .... but really, focus on characters harder to use, such as Gen, Makoto, El Fuerte, which are also some of the lowest win rate, even among top players (check Ultra Street Fighter 4 arcade win rate averages for top 10 of all characters in eventhubs)
I do these by the requests I get (though maybe I was kinda lazy in explaining the shared tools). A looooooot of people tried to pick up E. Ryu in ultra, mostly Ryu players I'd imagine, and at least compared to Ryu, E. Ryu is quite technical. The best I can do is help the greatest number of people. I'll be making more formal tutorials soon though.

Omega version is not used for normal competitive rank so I would just stick to learning USFIV version

I used to use modern controllers but they're super expensive. My current controller costs about 15 bucks

I'm bad and I need a tutorial for shotos. The shotos aren't carbon copies either. Ken, Ryu, and Akuma play differently b/c they are different.
