Your video's are so peaceful and beautiful. I would love to live a simpler life without as many stresses. Unfortunately the work myself and my husband do require us to .have a fixed abode. Absoloutely gorgeous scenery. How lucky you were to catch that elusive Barn Owl. We are lucky to live on a farm on marsh land and have three types of owl living right outside our windows, but was just as excited to see a big barn owl swoop right past my lounge window and down across the firlds. Later returning with a mouse or something , perhaps for young. Nature is truly amazing if you stop and look.

Yes, there’s been pain that brought you to the place where you are right now, comfortable in your skin, and in your boat. Pain is a great teacher, and it’s when we experience pain and difficulties that we accelerate our personal growth. But, you know all this. I’ve been a lover of narrow boats since childhood - though I’ve never spent time on one. Sad really. WOW!! Dave, what a gorgeous vlog. It rolls along peacefully and wraps it's arms around you. The sharp detail, perfect colour balance, correct exposure, super transition shots and editing, and slow motion of the Heron (and the rain drops dancing on the water?); we are entranced. My wife and I are continuous cruisers, having recently retired, and are currently wandering gently around the midlands. Sometimes we moor in towns and sometimes miles from anywhere. You're right, it's a great way to get rid of stress. Hi Dave I also watched your video through alternative living and agree with most of the other comments, well done dude. But, I have a problem with other channels taking your footage, I converted a double decker bus and lived on it for five years with my children and also set up a TH-cam channel, I reached over 850,000 views until people started taking my videos and using them on their channel then my channel stopped climbing in views.. sometimes these other channels can help you build your channel but, in my case they damaged my views so be careful who you let use your videos. Again your videos are pleasant too watch and you have a easy too watch calming soul. Keep it up my man. I've recently built a wooden shanty boat from recycled timber and hope to join you guys soon on the canals but, after my experience with TH-cam probably won't be uploading my videos. Take care

Dave I just replied to you on shorts. I thought I would share a bit more with you. I like you am a widower and I have been for 9 years. Two years ago I walked up from Land’s End to John O’Groats and wild camped most of the way. I walked up 5 canals and loved meeting the canal community. It made me realise that I am “ a tramp with a home. I live in Dunbar in South East Scotland, I love my community but I have also the urge to travel. Consequently I am selling my large house and moving to a smaller one. But for a year I am going to cruse the canals: like you I love nature and meditation slows us down to enjoy it all the more. Your Vlogs brings these beliefs out so well. You have strengthened my intent to live this life. I thank you for this and maybe we will pass paths out there on the cut. I would welcome that
I love herons. I watch them on the canals here in London, on walks with my dog. I love to watch them dive and resurface. So beautiful. Not so beautiful watching them eat a toad, but amazing video footage.

My wife and I are continuous cruisers, having recently retired, and are currently wandering gently around the midlands. Sometimes we moor in towns and sometimes miles from anywhere. You're right, it's a great way to get rid of stress.

I also watched your video through alternative living and agree with most of the other comments, well done dude.
But, I have a problem with other channels taking your footage, I converted a double decker bus and lived on it for five years with my children and also set up a TH-cam channel, I reached over 850,000 views until people started taking my videos and using them on their channel then my channel stopped climbing in views.. sometimes these other channels can help you build your channel but, in my case they damaged my views so be careful who you let use your videos.
Again your videos are pleasant too watch and you have a easy too watch calming soul.
Keep it up my man.
I've recently built a wooden shanty boat from recycled timber and hope to join you guys soon on the canals but, after my experience with TH-cam probably won't be uploading my videos.

Dave I just replied to you on shorts. I thought I would share a bit more with you. I like you am a widower and I have been for 9 years. Two years ago I walked up from Land’s End to John O’Groats and wild camped most of the way. I walked up 5 canals and loved meeting the canal community. It made me realise that I am “ a tramp with a home. I live in Dunbar in South East Scotland, I love my community but I have also the urge to travel. Consequently I am selling my large house and moving to a smaller one. But for a year I am going to cruse the canals: like you I love nature and meditation slows us down to enjoy it all the more. Your Vlogs brings these beliefs out so well. You have strengthened my intent to live this life. I thank you for this and maybe we will pass paths out there on the cut. I would welcome that
I love herons. I watch them on the canals here in London, on walks with my dog. I love to watch them dive and resurface. So beautiful. Not so beautiful watching them eat a toad, but amazing video footage.
