    If it was not for Wally, yacht design would be stuck in the '80s. Almost every single new Yacht references to Wally's design innovations.

    Glad to have subscribed to all the channels! Thank you for the update on the Wally Why! Would love to see the rest of the interior though. The volume is intense and gets my vote. I like how intensely high this vessel is which gives so much more space than the same length of other vessels. This definitely allows for more amenities and stretching of the legs while at sea. 🚢 ❤ 🍷

    Not so much thinking outside the box as throwing it away! You have to love the fact they exist.

    Mad maybe but for innovation that the rest of the industry follows maybe a touch of madness is needed.
    I like these reviews you do, of ship yard and talking to workers, designers and managers. Thank you.

    I wish I could afford to buy a yacht. Just to engage David as my middle man. His knowledge, passion, enthusiasm, and his calming personality would just make any buying process such a wonderful experience. Great video, interesting brand, thank you xx

    Wally WHY is much better than my usual response: "Why, Wally? Why?: 😉 Glad to see they've reigned it in a bit.

    They could rebrand to Wacky :) Wally, Ferretti, Wacky
    The Why200 is very space efficient but maybe they could make the mid section open to the sides so it's not fully enclosed. A big part of a yacht has to be the openness. Maybe glass sliding down. Master cabin too. And AI autopilot so it can sail unattended.

    WHY means ..... Wally Hybrid Yacht. And HYBRID belong of its form of the hull. Faster boats, whitch are made for more speed, they have a different form of hull, so That WHY - hull is made for 2 diffent charakter of speed / need /usage.

      Not according to the Wally rep that came into the office...they say it was from the WALLY Hermes project. I have to say though that Wally Hybrid Yacht makes more sense... Funnily enough next week's vlog is all about Hybrid and Diesel Electric yachts!

    I do find it strange that in the wow bow your bed is facing the wrong direction, in my humble opinion. I guess that would be a minor GA change. Wally it’s either love or hate, but always better to have one first.

    • @Yachtsforsaleblog
      @Yachtsforsaleblog  ปีที่แล้ว

      The rendering doesn't show it so well in my opinion, but I'm pretty sure its facing out to sea. Do you not think that's the right direction?

    • @ThomasLJonesJr
      @ThomasLJonesJr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The bed faces the sea (your feet are closest to the window). What you see in that pic is the settee.

    • @nickwatkins5321
      @nickwatkins5321 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s the first thing I thought too. The bed definitely needs to be facing the other way

    • @3211SD

      The sofa is facing in and the bed facing out . Would you want it the other way around?

    • @Yachtsforsaleblog
      @Yachtsforsaleblog  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@3211SD I think I'd like to wake up in the morning and see the view...I suppose they could position the sofa at the end of the bed so that it is also facing out. Wouldn't want to wake up and find somebody sitting on the sofa looking at me!

    Wally sailing yachts are truly amazing, full of innovation and (for a production yacht) unique features such as their simplified sailing systems or submarine anchor, etc.
    So I would really love it if they ever considered creating a sailing yacht around the 24m Load Line rule with the lines of the Wallywind range. They are one of the builders which could make me reconsider me current choice if they did that.
    Well speaking of smaller Wally sailing yachts they also build the Wally Nano 37 but that's more of a daysailer where they collaborated with Hoek.
    And I agree that their motor yachts are also one-of-kind and sort of crazy with lots of cool design quirks yet the slightly softer lines of their sailing yacht range speak a bit more to me.
    What they master extremely well in both categories is the use of space.
    For all that they are also among the first five pages I usually visit for design inspiration.

    The WHY in Wally Why stands for Wally Hermes Yacht. This was widely mentioned back when the boat came out as it was supposed to be a collaboration between the two.(oh you just mentioned that, sorry. Jumped the gun) I never thought of anything great about them, I wasn't that impressed until I realized they were under the 24M rule. The issue I had with it was that all of the videos never showed the galley, crew quarters or the lower bedrooms

    The 118 is cool but the interior is a huge disappointment. The WHY200 interior is incredible but the exterior looks like a tug boat.
    The real question is why you can’t have cool inside and out.

    It's nice to see there is a yacht for all tastes. I'm definitely not in Wally's target market (my being financially limited notwithstanding), but I'm not the type to confuse taste with quality. Everything I've seen and read about Wally indicates they take great pride in their products, and I say more power to them! Just not my particular cup o' tea. Great video as always, David!

    I admire the fact they loved what they created so much they couldn't bring themselves to cut a hole in it. I'm building small vessels and I'm very leery of unnecessary holes below rubrail/ superstructure
