That foundation is PERFECT. It covers up all of the redness!
Liked the tutorial, but think a bit more research on her routine would have helped, she shed brown pencil, not black liner, and lots of contour and highlighting to achieve the perfect heart shape. She also used her own gloss and her favourite lipstick was Diabolique by Guerlain now called Insolence de rouge 522.Whitey who was her mua used over 5 layers of lipstick and gloss with whhite powder to achieve her fantastic pout.
Great tutorial!
Marilyn's makeup artist usually used brown eyeliner on her with the thinnest (really thin) line of a bronze just on the top of the eyeliners edge (on the lid), he also used a white pencil on the inner eye and otter edge of the eye just under the part that starts to come away from the eye - weird.
BUT i do love this tutorial its a very modern Marilyn and easy for ppl who don't do much with their makeup- you have make it SUPER EASY
The color of your eyes is soooo beautiful :)
This has to be one of my favourite pixiwoo tutorials, and Iv been watching pixiwoo for quite some time, but this is one of my favourites of them all.
the ending was adorable oh my god
OMG!!!! this is the greatest look of marilyn monroe that i've ever seen... just perfect and you are gorgeous!... congratulations Nic!!
You actually look like her a little bit just a younger version :) so pretty :) great tutorial!
Thanks! You demystified the Marilyn look. I never figured out the eyeliner until today. I will return again and again.
Once in a Museum I saw Merilyn's lipstick stain preserved on a napkin.:) It was in the shape of a pouty kiss:)
The original tutorial you guys did for Marilyn Monroe is the reason i love make up to this day!! thank you so much for everything you do!
You have really pretty eyes
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS VIDEO. I REALLY LOVE MAKEUP. I REALLY LOVE THE WAY SHE POUTS HER LIP AND POSES AT THEEND OF THE SHOW
Marilyn actually used a brown pencil liner..
Quite a good job. You've captured much of her subtleties in her makeup bag of tricks.
Lovely look, Nic. A funny thing: Marilyn's "beauty spot" was really a mole that she colored in with a brown eyeliner pencil ... just as you did with yours. xo
great make-up! I really love the make-up and dresses of the 1950s, so thanks a lot! You looked gorgeous with the make-up and blonde hair :)
Great job you really do look like her
Ok i have to say that I am in love with your skin! It's so shiny but not in a bad way, even when you apply foundation it maintains that beautiful healthy glow and I've seen you switch between foundations
You should go as Marilyn for Halloween one year. :)
I love the how you always manage to cover the redness so well with your foundations!!
I just love how you said, that blonde is not your colour and now you are blondie. :D I personally think, that blonde looks the best on you.
I adore this look!! So simple but still breath taking!! Loved it!!! Thaks Nic for your awesomeness! Love from Greece!
Beautiful, I find you look a bite more like Madonna then Marilyn Monroe but like I said very beautiful. I think you look lovely with blond hair.
Sorry I meant to write bit not bite (embarrassed right now) again sorry
That liner makes your eyes stand out beautifully. Gorgeous!
hahah so cute :) thanks for sharing this with us :)
Stunning green eyes, lovely tutorial and beautiful effect very clear and quality of videoing... Closeups exception!
I love this tutorial, is there any chance you could do one to adapt it into a zombie? X
OH LORD! Your eyes are so absolutely beautiful, I can't even say how beautiful they are. You two have the most beautiful eyes I've seen! Yours are the definition of green eyes and sam's are the definition of blue eyes;
your skin is flowless no pores
Layla Kingston 6'9 everyone has pores some people s are just not that noticeable
i've been watching your videos for literally forever and your eye color still amazes me to this day! i love it sooo much!
she wore white eyeshadow on her entire eye, and brown liner above and below her eye to create a "shadow" and white in-between, she had specific contouring to get the perfect heart shape face which is why her brows were that way, it was to draw them upwards.. u should have researched her look more.. the reason it was so iconic is because it was SPECIFIC, took years to master. it wasn't just normal eyeliner mascara and lipstick.. there were ways it was applied, different techniques and colors, to look the way it does. you just should've researched a little more.
the best detailed is by Kandee Johnson, Marilyn Monroe (the most recent one) she followed Whiteys directions BUT this one is also good. Thanks.
lol what There are many ways to give advice to people. Im disgusted that you chose a quite harsh way. Nic did her best and the final result was beautiful, you should have researched how to be a nice person. If you didn't like the way she did Marilyn's make-up, then why are you even here?
It is an interpretation of Marilyn's iconic look, not an exact replica. And until you can create and execute her make-up EXACTLY how Whitey did it, shut up, sit down, and don't move.
Nic, you so easily steal people's hearts with your goofy charm. I just love watching your tutorials! I laugh and giggle every time.
you do look like her
Lovely makeup look Nic and you cracked me up at the end with the Marilyn poses and pouting lips - well done x
I want to utilize a soft brush to applying my make up. I buy my brush from here

You are truly an artist!! You always look beautiful and your skin is flawless
Woah you totally changed the size and shape of your lips, and it looks pretty natural, good job
The color of your eyes is absolutely gorgeous!
I love it when you guys go retro and do old Hollywood. More please!
I have a poster of marilyn Monroe in my room and I was looking at it when you were finished your whole look and when you went alittle to the side, you looked exactely like her :) gorgeous make-up tutorial!
love it! omg you girls just look absolutely stunning no matter what makeup you tutor us for! I'm a 50's fan so this is just right up my alley...thanks :)
I've been looking for the way she did her lips for sooo long! Thankyou!
You have amazing skin..so clean
Beautiful! The way you do the makeup is perfect. You do sport the blonde very well actually. I did Marilyn for Halloween a couple of years ago and it was fun, but I sure wish I had this video then.
@ekatkot I liked them for this look they seemed to work well but I didn't try any of the darker colours. When I have I will let you know, I have a feeling they may have some fallout. xxx
I looove how you're brows are so high .. Love it !! Mine are much lower and it makes me look tired .. You're so lucky ...

Great quality too.
Hi Nikki I was wondering do you have rosacea? My face is a bit red like yours and I worry so much about it, but you really embrace it! Tips? I want to embrace it and love it.
What a wonderful video. The makeup is extraordinary, very well demonstrated and instructed on how to put on and not even to mention the fun I had watching the comical humor taking place. :D One of the best Marilyn Monroe makeup tutorials I have seen. 10/10! I love how light the make up is compared to others I have seen, where they pile it on! :D
Thank you so much! My aunts turning 50 so there having a 50's themed party and want everyone to dress up, so this is definitely the makeup look I will be doing! :)

So pretty, well done, Nic. How about doing those lips for those of us over 55? We tend to lose top lip as we age, like our hair, it thins a bit and needs help looking fuller. What help can you give us?

you look absolutley GORGEOUS!
You're so beautifully modest what a joy to watch xx
As pretty as this look is, some things you should know about how "whitey" (Marilyn's makeup artist) did her makeup:
1. It wasn't a black liquid, it was a brown pencil
2. She never wore powder, only a tiny bit on her nose and forehead for film
3. She sometimes put white eye shadow in the middle of her lips and wore loads of lip gloss that she used to make herself
4. I noticed you didn't use any highlighter, which she used a lot of for film to shape her face
You just seem to know a lot about her, so this info may be useful in the future :-)
Paige Olsen Good call
He also put red lip liner in her tear ducts to make her eyes whiter
***** I saw that on lisa and kandee s videos
Agreed! This wasn't well researched abc rather a childish fancy dress attempt
