32:37. It's all about the red compartments. You see, when you were shooting at the heavy cruiser rounds keep hitting already destroyed compartments at stern, while compartments on the bow were completely intact. And cruiser was loosing his structural integrity bit by bit. When you hit the BC, it's a complete another story. In first big hit you destroyed compartments at stern, second - on the bow, and third was at the middle of the ship, right on the money! There was no compartments green to stay ship afloat anymore.
Brilliant scenario! I generally only watch a couple of these each week, might need to watch them all this week. Regarding BC vs. CA damage, BC was eliminated by a critical citadel penetration. Was very interesting to compare armor schemes (deck vs. superstructure) and armament (hooray for 8.9"). The heavier guns low on the bow and stern helped reduce pitch for both designs. Concept reminded me of a tabletop Harpoon tournament I played in 30 years ago. Falkands war based ... The only survivor was an (originally) Argentinian tanker captured by the Royal Marines. Result, British win.
Diesel 1 has a higher cruise speed than Diesel 2 and is half as expensive. no I have utterly no idea why that is. Also you can make the armor a cheaper type as you have all the tonnage left also it is really hard to find the range and heading of a target that is doing doughnuts because you have no idea what direction it will be moving in when the shells land.
Great video, my question for my own games. Why is it my ships have the best rangefinders armor etc. But the AI will have a ship with little to know armor one or two big guns and they decimate my ships ? My ships always miss and seem to just suck in truth.
I have an idea for a potential ship vs ship custom battle. Pin the USS Montana vs the Gloire-class BB. What is the Gloire-class BB? It is a custom design of a 1950's era French BB that has 14 17-inch guns in two triple and two quad turrets and is 97,071 tons, is 1131 feet long and is 170 feet wide. She has a Angled Funnel Complex VIII on her Modern Tower Enhanced close by her Modern Sec Tower 4 that allows her to reach speeds of 26 kn, all three of which are in the center of the vessel. It also has a secondary armament that has a lot of calibers ranging from 1.5 inches to 6 inches and her turrets are placed so that A turret is a quad, B turret is a triple on the barbette from the Main Tower, X turret is a triple on a Gigantic Superimposed Barbette, and Y turret is a quad. She also has a main belt and main deck that is 21.3 inches thick and the other decks and belts range from 18.5 to 19.5 inches thick. (Note: Stuff her superstructure with 4 inch, 3 inch, and 1.5 inch guns)
Shouldn't the ship stolen and the ships chasing be from the same nation? Just thinking....could justify almost any combination of nations with enough plot armor. :-)

Ah fair enough. Of course. Forgot about this mechanic. Thanks for reminding me :)
@@Stealth17Gaming I haven't had the chance to play the game in awhile, but have the devs implemented any sort of colour-blind options?
@@Panzershreck22 seeing the fact that he is still playing on the "default" visual setting I would say they have not
@@Panzershreck22 Not that I know of
@@Panzershreck22 nope, they ignore us peeps that are color-challenged...

3:55 I kinda like those mixed calibre layouts. One of my best BBs use a similar layout, triple 16-inch superfiring over twin 20-inch.
10:44 When you see the ship you're using it's just that spider-man meme.
Great video, I really enjoyed the battle mechanics also the light cruiser taking over 26000 points of damage was just crazy
33:26 rangefinder officers be like : "I'm sorry Sir, the enemy ship is way faster than my hand"
I like this idea easy to follow, and if it's all YT'rs it's a great logically laid out in a way we can add input.
nice! i like the idea, wonder how well your ship did...

Minator took so much damage because it was damage saturated. Taking hits in the same spots has a lower impact on structure.
Love the title. Wish there was carriers.

AI gets buffs that the devs don't show
Vid is a little late than usual, I believe, nevertheless an UAD video always makes me happy
Relative to my usual schedule, yes. Shipyard Champions is always at this time as everybody publishes at the same time, this time.
Panzergraf got your ship!
Fun times

(Forgot to add this in but the crew level is to be Veterans)
Hehehe steal
Think the dev will ever implement actual PID for the steering?
How about old small ships against cas and the one who hits the most torps (with damage) wins?
Shouldn't the ship stolen and the ships chasing be from the same nation? Just thinking....could justify almost any combination of nations with enough plot armor. :-)
Sadly can't do that in the game
Second.
