Autopia Car Wash: Benicia Site

In a world where express is becoming the increasingly dominant car wash model, Autopia stands out for their commitment to championing the full serve model. They tore down an old gas station with an IBA and rebuilt it as a full service car wash with 60' AVW tunnel and post vac setup, along with a larger gas station on the property. Autopia went with a very basic tunnel setup because it is all that is necessary for them to eliminate most exterior wash labor. It includes an AVW wrap/Kaady-style contour combo outfitted with Kirikian Neoglide material, 1-arm top brush, and ProtoVest WindShear II blower. They prep each car using prep guns and manually apply wheel cleaner.

It’s so interesting, I was just in Benicia last week for a day trip for my vacation and passed by this car Wash! I kind of wish I stopped by now.

Why is there no roof? Is it permitted by the city? Equipment can handle the outdoor environment?

It outdoors but they need a roof in case it rains or something like that
