"Anyone that would walk into the original house would immediately recognize the staircase as a Paul Williams design." Me, a normal plebeian: "Ah yes.. a Paul Williams staircase.. DUH!"
If you’re interested, Paul Williams is an incredible person! He was an African American architect who managed to become one of LA’s most in demand designers. There’s stories that his clients would often not want to sit next to him because of his race, so instead he became really good at drawing upside down as to be able to sit across from the client instead. A lot of these videos are super elitist but Paul Williams deserves to be remembered more.
I can't believe I'm saying this but this is the first time on this channel that I agree with the price tag. Absolutely breathtaking house - both impeccable architecture and interior design. Every single element blends harmoniously with each other. Clean and elegant. Whoever can afford this historic masterpiece can rest assured it's money well spent/invested.
I agree that this is one of the first times I’ve ever understood the price tag of a house- I also think that this is one of the few times that clean and classy hasn’t felt like it would be impossible to live in the house. There are playful elements here that many houses don’t put out, and as such feel cold and clinical. This feels beautiful, elegant, and pristine, but not without life and the option for fun. Really lovely interior design.
I also agree that the writer went overboard with “anchor”.... that’s the kind of word that should be limited to twice a video. It’s such a light and airy house- find a different way to say focal point!!
No genius, I didnt say I coyld do anything better than anyone involved. Which makes your indictment of being a narcissist completely unfounded. Know the definition of a big word before you try to use it in a sentence big guy. Dint give up i think you are on the brink of a breakthrough!!!

Yeah and they call that a closet? Not even a single shirt! (Sarcasm) For real.... Think about it. It's being sold. Why would they keep their books and clothing in the home? 🙄😂
A gorgeous house and worth every penny of price tag for what it offers. To truly enjoy a house like this, I'd imagine it best for either turning it into a B&B, event venue (weddings, spa retreats) or for people who like having their large extended family living all together. A 60-room estate means it needs a crew of full time permanent household staff to maintain and care for it and those who live in it.
Well the whole house is glam style because of all the reflecting surfaces, the amount of metals, glass and cool tones. If you like the rest of the house I am pretty sure, that you like the chandelier too.

Depends on what part of the Hamptons. With the extremely expensive tax rate there, the fact that it would not be real stucco but instead eifs, and no land around it not many buyers would spend 100m for it there because you can barely even find insurance companies that would want to insure it being that the Hamptons mostly has eifs instead of real stucco and the weather is horrible on eifs

probably the same as any house. Not sure the exact percentage but let's go with the most conservative 1%, that's 850K and split between the 2 guys is a sweet 425K minimum. It could easily be 2 to 5 times that amount.

Sure as hell beats that $170 million monstrosity of an apartment in Manhattan from a week or so ago.
That apartment would fit inside one of the closets in this house

That room only with the mirrored ceiling and metallic vines has more design thought put into it than that whole apartment..
Gonna go look for it now & compare 👍🏽😁🤗🤣
It depends, new-york and la are very opposite. Aside the fact that I love giant dogs, I'd pick the NY apartment.
