WOW. What a great hunt. You covered all the bases. Broaches, Earbobs, Rings, Knife, Ramrod holder, Musket hammer, Trade ax, Buttons, Lead Beaver effigy. WOW what a day. Thanks for taking us along. It was a great ride. Keep up the good work. Can't wait for next video.
Thanks for sharing your hunts with us. Love the period of stuff you’re finding. If you would consider a video of your collection of artifacts. I’m sure a lot of your followers would appreciate that. 😎
Hiya 👋 I was just flicking through TH-cam and came across your channel. Thats some nice soft ground to dig in. I like the cross makers and that buckle is ace. Nice NW button ,you certainly have a good collection of finds i think my favourite find is the beaver 😂 and that button before your ring find. Thanks for sharing Maria 🍀
Dude!! Man that would be my dream to find just one of any of those items! I've found a few interesting things over the years but none as fantastic as those! Thanks for sharing the video!
@Eric_Detectorist ...those are pretty impressive glass frame cases of your finds behind you. Which Native tribesmen were they trading with in that area 🤔
No exaggeration, this could be the best relic channel on TH-cam. Well for my interests anyway. I’d love to talk with you sometime about some research. Good work!
Thank you very much. I’d be happy to help. I do a lot of research to get me in a general area. From there I look for geographical clues to help guide me. Honestly I even look at the plants and tree size. Certain plants really clue me in to where to hunt.
Absolutely amazing hunt again. We located our northwest trade post up here. Sadly it's under a concrete plant! I would like to learn from you on how you find these trade sites. I'm sure there must be more around here!
Thank you very much. And that’s unfortunate about your site. I find there were many camps and portages between know sites. Many commonly used year after year. I also find seasonal camps, spring syrup camps and then fall harvest camps. So don’t be discouraged by one site being gone there must have been more activity in the area.
You do a great job from the pics of cleaning the finds, especially the rings and buttons.. hopefully you invest like I have in ring display boxes..I see you use the Rikers✅
Really enjoy your videos! Very informative, I would love to find artifacts from this period, I'm really into local history. Just wondering if you have ever found a pipe tomahawk? It's definitely on my bucket list. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching and the great feedback. I have not found a pipe tomahawk yet. I had a friend find one just feet away from me once, but that is as close as I have come.
Congratulations whit your nice shoe buckle. It is dated approximately 1700. I also found similar shoe buckles in the surroundings of Amsterdam and Utrecht ( the Netherlands) whit my metal detector.
Gotta few hours in, nothing great,72 memorial, 9in piece of old copper tubing, grinding stone, could be 6000yrs old,a handle to something?piece of 1800s stove top, lead toy gun 50plus,almost perfect. Got the rain we needed here today going too Hunt tomorrow, wish me luck, Good Luck, take care Bro.

Thank you, I used to spend a lot time hunting parks for the occasional silver, but I got hooked on the history.

Thank you very much. I’d be happy to help. I do a lot of research to get me in a general area. From there I look for geographical clues to help guide me. Honestly I even look at the plants and tree size. Certain plants really clue me in to where to hunt.

Im not familiar with a "striker". Can you explain what it is used for?
A striker was used for making fire. It was struck agains a flint to produce sparks. Thanks for asking.
Show us your collection in detail one day!
I’m thinking this winter I will do that
Really enjoy your videos! Very informative, I would love to find artifacts from this period, I'm really into local history. Just wondering if you have ever found a pipe tomahawk? It's definitely on my bucket list. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the info!
The buttons are really awesome! Will you get the shoe buckle restored?
I definitely will try to restore the buckle. Just gotta research the best way to do it.
Love to have the gun part
I rarely find just the hammer. This was probably removed for an extra part and lost.
Goodluck Bro!
Thanks!

Your on fire!.....
Thank you! It was a fun week for sure.
This in the UP or mitt ?
This video was from the lower peninsula, but I hunt both upper and lower.
Let's keep goin '
Thanks much!
Do you hunt in the Keewenaw?
I’ve never hunted that far north. I’m sure it’d have some great sites though.
Whats a striker?
A striker is a tool used to make fire. You would strike it against flint and it would creat a spark. Very common trade item.
Beaver effigy, buttons,, WOW
Thank you Jeff!
