This is the second podcast I've heard Dale open up on the more serious side of life. The Gauge Podcast was the other one, and I hope going forward he does some more of this. His faith and the perspective on life through his faith is what the world needs more of in my opinion. Thanks to Cam and Dale for this
I just watched this video and it is a completely different side of Dale Brisby than I have ever seen and he was an amazing guest and had such an amazing story about his father and gives such an amazing perspective on losing someone and just life in general. I lost my wife just over a year ago and this was an amazing conversation that has given me a different way of looking at my situation and a different feeling about how the whole event happened and went. Thank you for this podcast it has definitely had quite an effect on me.
Great Podcast! Dale thanks for introducing Cam to us. Cam was emotional and whist full while listening to you speak about your incredible relationship with your Dad ❤️. We never know other people’s inner journey, but you sure touched Cam in a compassionate way. Looks like you’ve got a great new friend.
Dale's interns are very lucky for the opportunity to learn from one solid dude. His memory and appreciation of his moments with people and situations are clearly burned into his mind. Our world could use a whole lot more Dale Brisby's
Thanks Cam for starting this podcast, listening to you and your guests is so inspiring. The guests you have chosen so far have been uniquely perfect! I love your message its helped me change my life around and become a stronger person, thanks
This is amazing.... Heartfelt in depth conversation full of thought and reality and a cowboy! I hope it goes viral. Thank you for sharing. Am a new fan and will be a loyal one. All the very to you AND Dale Brisby. 💘💝💕💖❤️
That great thing he thought he needed to do impo is you dale.. the dad and man he was molded you into who you are and you’re spreading his love and lifestyle to thousands if not millions. Look at how many lives you’ve affected or touched that all stems from the man your father was.
Mr. Brisby continues to impress. The best is that he's something real, legit, sort of like Steve Rinella. He's a pleasure to listen to. The worst is that he's a TH-camr (or whatever you call it), a paid celebrity, and as someone spends time doing it, one becomes more performer and less a real person. Keep it real Dale yeah. I feel like you've got a great heart and wish you every success. Take it from the man. 13:00 DB says "It's just like any other industry". No it isn't. That's the whole point, that's what makes the super poker cool, it is absolutely not like other industries: working at target? or amazon? cleaning rooms at the hotel or selling people gas? Is being a super poker like selling people gas? Is it like working at McDonalds? Have you seen the Misfits? Do you want to work for wages? Just listening to DB and host talking about death and fathers and I really appreciate hearing people telling me something good about something difficult, like going to church and hearing some good news. It makes me sad that this kind of talk is so rare in our society today. I think someone once said charity begins at home. Well done. Also, knowing DB from youtube and thus being more familiar with his clownish side, I'm struck by the role 'clown' and absurdity in our modern world; the president of Ukraine was a comedian before being elected and he's stepped up to the challenge. And sounds like DB has done the work to become the person he is and that he can play the clown well because he's so solid inside himself. That's something we can all learn from. And the host does a great job, really wonderful conversation from them both.
❤❤❤Lonesome Dove Quotes “Talk's the way to kill it. ... “The older the violin, the sweeter the music.” ... “If you want one thing too much it's likely to be a disappointment. ... “I figured out why you and me get along so well. ... “'Ride with an outlaw, die with him,' [Gus] added. ... “Uva uvam vivendo varia fit.”
wow, umm... That got deep. A lot to take in from this one Cam. I have watch the PBR for maybe 5 years even went to a PBR event when they came to my town with my father, sat a oouple rows from the dirt and even got dirt thrown on me from a bull bucking, haha, it was amazing! and watched Dale on his TH-cam channel making hilarious videos for longer I believe. umm. gosh, I have felt the same way but until now I never really thought about it, but I want everyone to go out at least during a time when they were doing something they love. Heck, I am searching for my thing now at 34 that I want to be able to look back on and say I'm good, I did this and that and it and lived a good life. The gym has been huge for me the last 7 months I have been going, it has really opened my mind to a lot of potential I believe I have. Anyways, this one was Great. Cam you are amazing, you know how to respond appropriately and are very professional and I admire that. I could write pages on this episode so I'm going to stop here. Keep Hammering these out Cam. Freakin love them, this may be my new favorite podcast channel, the conversation and the people are amazing. Had to edit and add this to say that this episode changed me for the better I believe. ~Jeff
JB does kinda workout. He uses a balance ball (similar to balance board) a lot when not on road. Also the bullfighting he does is a workout in itself + ranch labor.
`❤No 5. The San Antonio bar scene has several great lines together, so I decided to count them as one quote. The bartender, upon insulting Gus and Call, gets his nose broken when Gus slams his face into the oak bar. Gus explains: “Besides a whiskey, I think we will require a little respect. . . . If you care to turn around, you will see what we looked like when we was younger and the people around her wanted to make us senators. What we didn’t put up with back then was doddlin’ service, and as you can see, we still don’t put up with it.” As they rode away, Woodrow tells Gus he’s lucky he didn’t get thrown in jail and Gus says, “Ain’t much of a crime, whackin’ a surly bartender.”
If you want one thing too much it’s likely to be a disappointment. The healthy way is to learn to like the everyday things, like soft beds and buttermilk-and feisty gentlemen.”
"She brought her own horse?"~~Contractor👍 "Who knows. They left to go give themselves Mercury poisoning when the Raccoon showed with the Shinola."~~Anonymous
