Dan is very much in the same mould as you Geo in that he is will give a fully rounded view on other teams as well as his own. No surprise that fans of the formerly known as yoyo clubs that are now established prem teams just get how we feel.
For any club its all about getting to the next level and when settled there, looking to take the next step.

As long as the fans are patient and give him at least a season to sort the players he wants to keep and bring in, remember a lot of Arsenal fans weren’t happy with Arteta at the beginning and now they worship him.

Nice to see Palace make a progessive appointment,after seemingly casting their eyes in Moyes direction for a while.Notwithstanding Moyes success(i say begrudgingly),we have not had a top class manager for as long as i can remember.Pelligrinis best days were over by the time he came here,and he thought his reputation alone would be good enough.Before then,Allardyce,Bilic,Grant,Curbishley,Zola were not considered best of breed.Lets hope the next one is someone we can get excited about

Palace will thrive under Glasner...they have some decent flair players and some solid defenders. Viera weren't quite right...Hodgson was just a stop gap, and now they've landed on Glasner.

Look we are a very well supported club moderately successful established as a premier league club capable of mid table or better every season our problem has been a board and with little vision or ambition other than survival a dour defensive manager forcing a team with plenty of attacking flair onto the back foot stifling creativity it’s a dam hard watch the stats say outside the bottom three we are joint worst defence so no master class there is it.?
We’d be an attractive opportunity for a good manager with some coaching skills and a bit more about them and there will be a decent amount at chest to boot so pundits do one.
Plus Palace have Olise and Eze back now.
Look I am Moyes out and have been for a long while. The cup saved him for sure last year, but we haven't been a good team for over 2.5 years league points wise/with type of football played. Question I would like to ask without bias is the Moyes out/in generational ? I am convinced that if you are under 30 you are Moyes in for various reasons and that's fine no argument from me. However if you are Moyes out I am pretty sure you ate over 40 and seen the highs and lows and I have understanding of who we are.
Is the there a "west ham way" there is 100%. Is the west ham way relevant in 2024? And should it be?.

I think it is very generational with occasional overlapping of older/in and youthful/out. Tons of Moyes out hark back to 60s/70s/80s football no realizing the younger generation has a hard time identifying with it. With age comes wisdom but not the authority to dictate what a person should or shouldn't enjoy.
But im from the tail end of Generation X, so I resent older generations telling me what i should think and younger generations for their lack of understanding.

Be careful what you wish for has to be the laziest cop out statement around these days...ie stay in your lane, shut up, don't dare to dream of more quality. To be honest I'm 50/50 on Moyes...its been poured over..but when it's OK its OK and when it's not its awful..yes someone might be able to get more out of the team consistently so I'd like to see realistic candidates and then you can form an opinion on it all.
I think it’s the right decision to move on from David Moyes at the end of the season but we will look back on this period under his tenure as one the best in our history. To see claret and booze personally attack the man who has given us so much is an absolute disgrace imo. Everything wrong with the current West Ham fan base. Keep up the good work hammers chat, strong opinions but always respectful. I would highly recommend anyone joining the Patreon because these guys deserve the support. Just never be like them doughnuts from claret and booze.
You talk about respect yet call those running Claret & Booze doughnuts . Yes they have strong views about Moyes but are entitled to their opinion . Don't like don't watch . David Moyes has split the fan base . He has helped to improve the team but also held us back - in my opinion . As for C&B , I happen to respect all they are doing to help struggling fans overcome their fears .

I have no issue with people wanting him out, as I said I think a change is needed, but the way they go on is embarrassing to the fan base. Reminds me of the AFTV mob and Wenger.

@@StevetheHammer To be honest Steve, I’ve never watched the channel, only seen a few clips of it on social media which may not be a true reflection of the content. However, what I did see was awful. Showing hatred for the man who has worked very hard and no doubt done his best for our club. Called him every word under the sun and even suggested he didn’t care that young Earthy was hurt. I just find that totally wrong. What we’ve achieved under Moyes has been remarkable and I’m not confident the next manager whoever it may be will be as successful, although I really hope he is. COYI
