Willo is in DESPERATE Need of This Buff, BUT... (Paladins Willo Gameplay)

- Willo has desperately needed some love for a long time now! She's one of the least used champions in all of Paladins because she's arguably the most ineffective blaster out of all the damage champions, and she's finally getting a big buff in the Wild Hoard update! However, this is a buff to one playstyle, and one playstyle only. Blastflower is getting more damage and an increase to its max stacks, which is great! However, this change just makes Willo even more dependent on this talent than she already was, and leaves her other talents desperately needing a buff even more now to make them relevant. Hopefully Willo will see more love as the year goes on!

Her dmg is an obvious buff so instead, I think she should have a floating passive like andro, and her movement ability should send you up/forward further(and have a much shorter cooldown)
Lol her movement was buffed once but it was ”very strong”, so they reverted it.
a double/triple jump would be cool tbh, maybe not as maneuvrable as Maeve's cause otherwise she might just be an absolute untouchable menace lmao

i guess it would make her ult a bit obsolete
so if instead of buffing the talent they buffed the damage of her weapon in the base kit (instead of 500 she could do 550 or even 600)
I still always run nightshade. The burst from nightshade is still the best for willow. 1650 in less than a second is the best she is going to do, and if you have a decent team, it almost always guarantees the Elim, and running the right cards you have unlimited deadzone with willow. She is the only character that has a full antihealing zone so I don't understand why people don't fully utilize it. I never run blastflower or scorn, always nightshade.
@@headphonesz6527 bc the deadzone is 100 antihealing while the late game any primary fire applies 90 antihealing and unlike primary fire you can avoid most of the dead zone, dead zone isnt a bad ability its a great zoning tool still i think my idea is better bc while you still might run nightshade buffing her main weapons makes all her talents more viable
@@headphonesz6527 I run Scorn myself because i like cluster bombs and yes i know it's the worst talent Willo has, but i can manage with it.
With some quick maths, comparing the following damage champions: Betty, BK, Dredge, Drogoz and Willo
Average DPS:
Betty 933
BK ca 1200
Dredge 1215
Drogoz 1000
Willo ca 666
So yeah... poor willo deals the least amount of dps compared to all those other blaster champs, and this is not accounting for misses and glancing blows and even if we then count for Blast Flower, the average damage (next patch) over 6 shots would add about 1050 dps to her damage output, resulting in a total dps of 1730, which is impressive, but it takes about 5 seconds to get to that point, not counting misses, a physical shield, glancing damage or literally anything and basically any damage, flank or off tank can clobber Willo long before she gets to that point
Why did I do all this math? Willo is my favorite damage champion and I'd actually prefer for her base damage to be buffed and Blast Flower be removed and she getting a new talent so that she won't be a one-trick-talent pony, as well as getting an Andro-like floating ability, like Andrew and a few others in the other comments have said

Willow should have a snow globe like talent in base kit so that she can fly for longer distances way more frequently and maybe have her weapon augmented during these 5 seconds
Willo double charge flight would be interesting considering her fat fucking head box and bigass butterfly wings
What if her seedlings stuck to targets they collide with I think it would help with her 1v1ing dps and would help buff scorn and seedlings in general
Cap at 8:00 was sweet. Looking forward to the dmg increase and stack. I will probably play blastflower more. I like deadzone talent most for now and get many kill shots behind cover with the extra dmg.
I wanna see her have more base health. Her giant hitbox makes her countered by literally any hitscan champion

I really wish willow could use flutter twice in a row. It would help out massively against flanks. I play willow a lot and there’s very little I can do to defend myself against flanks.
Nope, a damage champ can't have instant mobility twice like that. Let's compare it with Tiberius's jump, his mobility starts slowly and he jumps straight forward compared to Willow's dash which starts faster, has better momentum and she can reach high grounds easier. If they keep her dash as it is, that'd make her stupidly strong because of the dmg reduction card at 25% so double flutter means u can get that 25% dmg reduction twice. They shouldn't touch her mobility, they should just leave it as it is. One flutter is good enough to handle one flanker with the 25% dmg reduction card which helps in her duels and she also has the reset CD card. She definitely does not need more mobility, but more dmg so she has a chance to duel the others. More dmg means more chance to burst and kill. Her main weapon could do 550dmg or 600dmg that'd be enough for her to face flankers and the others.
@@timolechicguy They could put an internal cooldown on the DR card and give her two flutters. BK poppy bomb mobility is a thing you know.
@@themonsterwithin4000 BK's double poppy bomb is a talent and he has no dmg reduction card either. Why would Willow have double flutter in her base kit? if you really want that extra flutter they should put a CD on the dmg reduction card which would be an indirect nerf to the other talents because even if she gets an elemination to get her flutter back the cd on the dmg reduction card might still be active + they will have to remove the semis talent (which isnt a loss anyway cause that talent sucks) and replace it with a second flutter charge. She shouldn't have it in her base kit without adding the cd on the card. Idk if I make myself clear.
@@timolechicguyI dont agree either in Willo having two flutters, but it she had two in her base kit, the card that gives DR should make it back to 1

the battlepass ends in 10 days so most probably the update is up by that time

I got a question Andrew. Drogoz and BK ulting each other at the same time. Who dies who lives?
On a technical side drogoze dies because drogoze physically punches to kill and while bk is rolling with his ult anything that touches him will explode, tho if bk is still in animation drogoze wins, also keep in mind bk can detonate the bomb a bit early even before drogoze touches him.

I think that the developers should buff Willo's Nightshade and Scorn talents because of the upcoming Arcane Warding item reducing the damage champs take from abilites. 🎇
If her flower did effect damage like poison, it would make her way better.
They still haven't given her a second flight talent? Just make it so she has a second flight that gives her a small dmg boost like maeves pounce does and she will have a talent for dealing with other dps.

I honestly think willow is fine. She can absolutely snowball a game with good support. Left all alone she loses to almost everyone but thats the the trade off. She has technically the worst DPS for damage champs but she has deadzone which is the most powerful antiheal in the game, from the very start of the game
What did we learn?if Willo is not taking care of she can snow ball out of control,and get her ult WAY TO FAST

Just make her flaot already and make her base weapon dmg 600
Love to see a Willow buff but... why not base kit? Her main talent right now IS blastflower... so why not a base kit buff over buffing the one viable talent she does have. So sad Hi-Rez :(
Weaker version of blastflower should have gone into the kit and new talent should have been made.

Willow is a character with whom I have won 7 out of 10 games. You just don't see it
i think they should rework nightshade it just does not seem like a talent with it just increasing damage and nothing else no downsides or added gimmicks just raw damage increase
what i would recommend for nightshade is it would reapply damage for every primary fire shot into it but make the anti heal effect go from 100% to 75% an net positive but it has a downside
the damage wouldn't really be enough to kill someone but it would be a nuisance and and also make her easier to play
