When we have alfalfa fields around here, usually we cut the whole field, rake the outside edges, bale it all as hay. The outside bales (around the edge of the field) get sold as mixed grass hay, the inside bales are sold at a premium because it’s better quality alfalfa hay
If it helps with your streaming timeslot, most UK twitch streamers i watch start around noon their time, although some do start in evenings. the UK slot is noon-6pm, then theres a dead space where its US afternoon, UK night, and Aussie early morning. then around midnight-6am UK time is the NA slot (US and Canadian streamers) followed by Australian/New Zealand streamers 6am-noon UK time. The only real problem with live streaming is that you will catch far fewer people, especially if you plan on doing interactive things like the polling. For the streamers i watch, most of these kind of polls take place on their discord servers over 24 hours to catch when people are available.
usually, if you pick up more than 10% alfalfa first and then do the edges you should be ok. It only seems to be a problem when the wagon is nearly empty
If you are worried about streaming times some people like me will watch later on, so if you wanted to leave some closing polls for what to do next for people to vote on after the stream before the next one that could be nice.
This is awesome. This map is less than 200 miles from my house. Been threw the town many times! Mapped almost perfectly to the region. This is going to be great. Always enjoy your content Mr. P!
Hey Mrsealyp. I would like you to know, I have been watching your lets play & mod reviews for roughly the last 5 yrs now. I watch on my PS5 so I cant always like your content. But what I would like you to know is that watching you has taught me everything i wanted to know about how to play the game and get the most fun playing it. So THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Your doing a grand job :)
I hope you have fun. I also hope I get a chance to see a live stream. With such a varied audience, live show times will be interesting. My two cents, awhile back,(maybe a long time ago) you had fans give you contracts to do. Since you are on a multiplayer server, maybe it would make things easier. "Can you harvest my alfalfa field and then feed my sheep?" Something like that. looking forward to seeing how this works.
I am looking forward to the playthrough that you are about to do! I have been watching Farmer Cop with his stream from 6 months ago on Silverrun Forest and I have enjoyed his story. I like the concept of the viewers making the story move along and I am looking forward to seeing how things end.
I love a lot of your ideas, they are so original. You have played a lot more than I have and I wonder how much you have noticed. I looked at Sweet Cornbread on this map (because I really like it :) ) but if I did my calculations right, it cost $1400 more then it sells for. Two issues I have noticed with "some" factories, they either don't make money or they are too slow to keep bringing supplies. (One spinnerty- Not this map- took 34 months to process 1 field of cotton)
Play the way you want we will watch! Get the item you wish to pick up to above a certain percentage then pick up the outside and it will convert it to the majority. It only resets the amount at the beginning of pickup.
Farming by delegation...Good luck! It is a strategy game, you need a plan, some kind of plan. The voting results become totally random, there is no direction. Can you orchestrate it and steer it? Perhaps. It will be interesting to watch, heck, maybe I am wrong...I have been before...
Just guessing but I think the intent behind the indoor horse arena was being able to exercise them during the harsh winters. That said, I think the majority of those playing this map blew that horse stable away first thing. I know I did.
One thing to know on the map is that you will be going through a LOT of lime, so a lime buy point on the farm or a production from stone will be greatly helpful. Looking forward to see how this series progresses
If I've got this correct, If your forage box is less than 2% (I think) full and you go over a different product it will start again with the new product. Make sure you get it over 2% before going over anything else after which it will only collect the most prolific product. Just like the balers.
Looking forward to this map, first suggestion.... Do more lets plays with Mrs haha love the banter. Only thing is certain is people will still whinge , keep up the great work mate 👍
Realy looking forward to this let's play. Realy like the idea. I'm also gonna start this map and play along as you do. Pitty tho seasons and precicion farming are off. I always like to have them on, makes the game more realistic i like to think.
38:00 you could first fill the foragetrailer above 10%, with alfalfa from the middle of the field. Then the filltype should be fixed and it won't pick up grass and you can do the edges. Or if you let a helper mow the field he or she won't mow outside the field.
with maps that have Alfalfa I sometimes have taken the landscaping tool and painted a small trim line of dirt texture so the alfalfa is separated from the Grass to avoid issues like the pickup constantly resetting because switching grass-alfalfa. Little tedious to do at first but really simplifies the mowing process
I am looking forward to seeing the next one on this map! I have no clue what to say about this map, cause even though I have the game it will not Run both FS 19 and 22 but I hopefully will be able to some time down the road. Just wish I could go back in time and tell my self to get a PS 5 why I was able to work now that my days are done cause of health problems!
Your 100k+ subs proves you are doing everything right. Don't listen to the complainers, you'll never make them happy. I really like the polling viewers idea but please give advance notice of your streams so i can catch them live. Do them at the time that works for you and we will follow you.
I dont get the infatuation with live streaming, mostly from an audience perspective. I get from the creators standpoint there is no editing, uploading, etc. It is far easier. But to watch it? I dont get the appeal. I much prefer edited and uploaded videos. But that is just me and know I am in the minority...So whatever, I will catch them live if/when I can but will probably just watch most when I am able.
Thanks for another great video. I can’t wait for the live streams and the polling I will definitely be watching. You got me into the game in fs 19. and I have learned a lot from you videos. Congratulations on 100k.
I do believe that you might need to look into polls for the non streams episodes. That way you are casting a big enough net to have all viewers included.
This is super pedantic, but for your edification, in most places in the states (except for California who do things a little different), instead of saying “the” I-70 like you would with A roads or M roads in the UK, we just say “I-70.” So, “take I-70 for 10 miles,” with “I” being short for “interstate.” Looking forward to this series!
the alfalfa border issue, if I have space I run a dirt border using landscaping to prevent mixing. also I think if you get some alfalfa in first from center of filed like 5% then do the border it should load everything as alfalfa not swap back and forth between grass. When I worked on a cattle ranch years ago we bailed it all for the cattle and horses as hay we didn't do any silage.
In a bale of alfalfa mixed with grass, the majority of the material will be the one out In that bale. When mowing, to keep alfalfa separated from grass, you could fence the area.
The thing with mods is that in any category there are a handful of bad ones that are just funky, dont work, do strange things and really should never had made it through modhub in the first place. Then, again in each category, you have the majority of good, solid mods that work great but bring nothing new to the table. Just yet another cultivator, plow, truck, trailer, cow barn...These are great for those that want a particular piece of IRL equipment, like the Fendt tractor pack from yesterday's review. But still...just another tractor. Then, you will have one or two mods that stand above everything else in the category. When you add them up though there really arent a huge number, and these are the mods everyone always uses. So yeah, it is hard to live without some of these because they go so far above and beyond everything else. Playing with no mods is an eye opener. I suggest everyone try it for a while, especially at this point in the games lifespan where there are literally a ton of mods available. Go back to base game and even include the paid dlc stuff. Resist that urge to get the lizard 9m plow or the tardis or the colossus. See if you can play just base game stuff.
Hello Paul I think you maybe trying too hard to please everyone, the only person you need to please is you. You're at your best when you're doing what you enjoy best. I appreciate you put pressure on yourself as this is your career but honestly the best TH-camrs are the most natural to their personalities. Keep up the good work and be kind to your self.
I am currently playing this map and I cannot get the bale wrapper to wrap the alfalfa, can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Does it have to be turned into alfalfa hay first?
There maybe 4000 mods, but there is a ton of dublicate mods. There is like 3 different goldcrest valley maps, there is many of the same tractors and combines.
I really like this map and I generally don’t like the American maps- too open.. Just finished a hay contact on field think it’s 42 the large one by the town.. took ages.. and made a slip up I used the Hi baler, for about 60 bales till I realised the bales unsuitable for auto load trailer, tried another trailer.. nope so had to manually load them onto the trailer.. 46K for contact.. I swear the money amount changed a couple of times during the contract.. and about 75K in extra bales.. top of my head
You didn't lose anything on the alfalfa field. The forage wagon or baler will show which ever is the majority. When you get either in the silage clamp it won't matter. Alfalfa silage and grass silage is the same thing on this map.
The game is basically at its lowest point right now in terms of player base being active, the expansion and then the lead up to next game late 2024 we will start to see an upward trend in interest in the game again.
Wednesday jumped on my Alma map and found the wrap from the starter baler/wrapper the Massey Protec was stretched out and going into the ground in my grass field. Unhooked and rehooked baler from tractor which removed wrap from going into the ground but then the baler wouldn’t wrap the bales, baler ejected onto wrapper platform but wouldn’t wrap or drop whether auto drop was on or not. Then figured i’d reset baler hoping that would fix the issue and found my implements icons on map do not even show just tractors and combine no implements so can’t even be reset. So i then drove to store repaired repainted changed wrap color from white to pink went back to field and it wrapped and dropped fine after that. Very peculiar start to my gameplay that day. On PS5… UPDATE Found that half my hotspots on map page were greyed for whatever reason so got all my icons back finally 👍🏽
Why can’t a V8 sound be properly converted to ingame.. ☹️ MrSealyp, will you have a time ish set for start of your livestreams? Like morning, midday, or after 6..

I Started this map last week , love it.. dry corn is a great moneymaker on this map
Could just run around the field edge with the painting tool as a buffer strip around your alfalfa field.
I do believe that you might need to look into polls for the non streams episodes. That way you are casting a big enough net to have all viewers included.

Very very true. Similar vibe to Lone Oak. Good call

I do the same, load enough alfalfa from the center, then get the edges and it keeps filling and stays as alfalfa.
I can see the residents of Alma "Where are all of these people coming from?" Alma newspaper headline reads "First Traffic Jam!"

Bounce around when you stream but make sure the streams are then loaded into TH-cam so if someone misses one they can watch it in replay.
Try to stick to one make of thing like john deere or case and American brands. Love the videos I always watch you because I play on a ps5 aswell.

I found yoy have to put a dirt border around yor alfalfa fields so when you mow your not mixing the 2

You can wrap alfalfa bales to make them silage bales on this map just FYI
Fill the forage wagon untill over 5% with alfalfa, then pick up your windrowed edges. Problem solved. No need to get into a tizz 😂👍

I havent tried the baler yet, but the grain header is hung up on the header trailer and took some pulling to get it loose...Teething pains...
Ended up with the tongue of the header trailer stuck in between that vertical post for the door of the quonset hut and the hut wall here 😂
Baler did not wrap for me so interesting to see how it was fixed
Just found I have hotshots greyed out as well......on PS5

Would it be possible to show the equipment you’re starting with please??
Has anyone had issues with the store and specifically placing the sell anything mod? I try to place it but the store just gets stuck and says “loading image”?
The only way I know is to harvest the Alfalfa by using a Forage Harvester.
I use a mower then a bailer then sell the bales
I mulch the outside edge of the field before I cut the alfalfa
nice
Do the cows on main for spawn manure?
I understand what you are explaining and you are totally right, the way you are doing it is really great and honest
Around the 5pm stream
if you cut alfalfa with a forage harvester mower you will not have the grass problem
Nice map only problem is that the multiplayer doesn’t work well for this map why is that can’t get other players in
Yes please do it
I like this map better than country Court farmform because it's too little for me

😊👋 another thing you cannot do is dry the alfalfa then bail it not on my PS4
I’m on ps4 I just mow it in a windrow then Tedder it in the windrow then bale it no problem
