I am just so glad that in America they still have open back trucks so you can see the packer in action without bin lifters and curtains spoiling the view.
Well done! I like your worky so much. In this clip it´s so great to see how you flatten the nice expensive leathercouch (24:26 till26:00). The crunching noises are wonderful!
Fantastic view. Can see everything squeezed and then see the aftermath as the blade opens back up. Can see how flattened and tight everything is packed. Fantastic thanks!
I would think products that are made with wood ,possibly right behind plastics, are discarded most.* Thank you for explaining how the trash truck operates.
My fave of your vids to date. Its good to see the more interesting items at the front of the hopper, and how they break up when the blade comes down. The old truck worked real hard in this video as did you. Not too many open back rubbish trucks like that here in London, can't see the action. Addictive viewing!
Let's feed this truck and feed this one bulky item at a time and on a mission that's neverending to #keeplaclean. To the Bulky Crusher and his New Way Cobra on Peterbilt 320, I enjoy you content and love watching bulky items getting crushed and loaded in. I am much obligated to see some more content as more subscribers grow. As always, we must Keep LA Clean. Also as Lindsey Buckingham would say, That's How We do it in LA.
YES! we are on a Never ending Mission of Keeping Bulky off of the streets of LA! Its hard work, but it must be done, and I love it!!! Thank you sooo much and I hope you'll continue to enjoy the content we put out! YES!! Thats how we do and I love it! Thanks for helping me keep our City clean!
Not really. All that pressed wood, mattresses, upholstery and couch material, glass and plastic really can't be. I guess you could incinerate it all but that would be both messy and dirty. In California they still have lots of landfill space for that sort of thing. It does mean it'll still be there 10,000 years from now, and future generations will unearth this crap and probably go "what the f*k" when they find things like a compressed toy car. and lots of mattresses. They might come to the conclusion that we must have really valued sleep.
@@Tiqerboy the crazy part about mattresses is that we have a Dedicated Mattress route! They are trying to get another mattress route running but we do not currently have the manpower for that! Maybe in a few months..
Verry good video I love to see the pillows at 3:34 strugle and fight to survive But they get squeezed without mercy over and over again Everytime the blade opens up again you see the pillows giving up But the squeezer just keeps on moulding and abusing the poor pillows Great view thanx
Great work! Does the city have plans to give you one of those new full size rear loaders? Also, is LA City Sanitation hiring? I have my class A and would love to drive for them
There is no scale at all inside the truck.. I know when the truck is gettin full because I have to move the dump blade forwards towards the front of the truck... Once the blade is all the way forward and the pack blade is struggling to pack I know the truck is packed out!
Wow! This is a really great clip! Perfect view! Thanks so much for sharing! Would be great to see some crushing of the White goods and Metalls. Are they taken seperately? Do you sometimes take those?
Thank you so much and Glad you like the view! I really like it myself!! lol better view than what I see when I'm actually crushing lol.. Yes, White goods and Metals are recycled and picked up by a box truck.. I sometimes do get a special request to pick up a fridge or something but its rare.. I try not to pick up too much metal although I'm not perfect.. I just feel bad leaving it..
What happens if you put something it can't crush in there and over to one side? Does it have a safety release to make sure the mechanism isn't bound up or broken?
There isn't really anything that can't stop a packer blade from moving , have you seen garbage truck companies crush a car before....there's videos on TH-cam of rear loaders crushing an entire automobile with no problem. The sheer strength of a garbage truck is the reason why there is danger signs all over the vehicle warning to keep away from the packer while it's running , nothing can stop it.
How does a rear loader pack the trash? I’ve seen a bunch of side loader videos where the trash gets dumped in and the “floor” is essentially the packer blade. But how do these work?
As you can see in the Video, That's the Main Packer blade the bottom part is called the sweeper blade, it crushes everything and brings it in and Pulls it all up into the Load body! inside the load body there is another Blade called Pack/Dump blade that keeps everything nice and Tight inside the load body so you can fit as much as 4-5 tons of Bulk Waste or about 7-8 tons of Trash. If you want I'll Explain it in a video and let you see the Dump blade inside the load body so you can get a better understanding...
Yo love the videos man. Can you show a video of the truck crushing a trash can. It doesn’t have to be one of the ones from the city. Do you know those smaller trash cans that some people use in like san diago for yard waste. Have you ever crushed one of those in a video. If so can you leave a link to the videos so I can watch it please. If not than that’s ok. Keep up the great work
I really wonder how much diesel fuel you go through in the making of one of these videos. And what it costs in California, operation of that truck can't be cheap. I'd like to see a video of you dumping the load at the landfill or transfer station so that we get to see all the items you crunched down, emerge once again.
Hey Tiger, on AVG I travel around 40-70 miles a day.. I use anywhere from 16-26 Equivalent Gallons of CNG a day. We do not really use diesel anymore.. almost our entire fleet is either CNG or LNG.. some of the older trucks, which isn’t many at all anymore, are dual fuel (LNG/DIESEL) Also for the transfer station check out this video and fast forwards towards the end! th-cam.com/video/Km8HsyELov8/w-d-xo.html
@@BulkyCrusher I did watch that other video in entirety with my cat but unfortunately couldn't see much at the end. Hard to tell what was going on, because I was expecting a shot from far back showing your truck dump the load. I think it's far better to have the camera mounted to the hopper of the truck rather than your hat.
I'd love to spend a day crushing bulky items with you. Unfortunately you and I are over 3000 miles apart I guess supporting the channel is the best thing I can do right now.
