Hey, they didn't try to eff up the dang song! They wouldn't have covered it if they hated it. In my opinion Its a unique take on a song I already love. No, I don't prefer this version over Marshal's, but common, its still pretty fraking awesome though! Just think of that one time you imagined what a song would sound like if covered by another band. Don't say you didn't because everyone does, its natural. Hope others don't judge this song or others like its hating on the original, for its not.
