An instrumental orchestral version would be better just like Sonic 06, Unleashed, and Colors where the main theme is an instrumental orchestral version
It was the song intended for the intro and fight with Black Doom, however it was replaced by I am all of me, hence the similar names. idk why though this was better
@@sausagerobbery8215 I believe they couldn’t reach the lead singer for the go ahead at the time or maybe I’m thinking of All of Me by Sins of Divine Mother it was one of them
I like this. I think that this song being used for the intro makes more thematic sense than I am all of me, for instance, the lyrics and their meanings fit surprisingly well at 1:10 as people here have stated, but most importantly, the song's defining line is "this is who I am" which is identical to the phrase shadow proclaims at every ending of the game. It seems that as a whole the phrase used to carry a lot more weight to the game as a whole. Having said that, I think I am all of me makes for a song that ultimately goes harder than the original plan, however it isn't as deeply intertwined with the plot like who I am is. I generally enjoy both, but I think if there was a mod to replace the theme with this, I would play with it. Who I am: is a great opening that carries lyrics that represents the games plot and purpose expertly. I am all of me: remains a kickass song that does the plot justice and the opening as well.
On the contrary. Crush 40's "I Am... (All Of Me)" works for the intro of this game. Think about it; This is the beginning of Shadow's story of self-discovery. He doesn't know anything of his past. There's a mystery to his very existence, and he will march through Hell itself to uncover it. Magna-Fi's "Who I am" works way more with the True Ending and the final battle with Devil Doom. In that fight, the mystery presented in the intro had been solved. Shadow is now fully aware of what he is, and why he was created. and he decides that it never mattered, because that doesn't define WHO he is. And now, he's gonna personally introduce his bastard "father" Black Doom to the _real_ Shadow the Hedgehog.
Considering that Who I Am was replaced by I am all of me (in the beginning and end of the game) this makes the most sense for it to be used for the intro
dang i get why the music wasnt put as a actual theme, it goes well but not well enough for whats going on in the intro. I really like the song and i wish it was at least the ending of the videogame.
I think it would have been better for I Am All Of Me to be for the intro and Who I Am for the final boss since it basically highlights Shadow's character development throughout the game. I Am All Of Me basically represents the main idea of the game, which is Shadow exploring who he really is, and that's done by him choosing either the Dark or Hero side (Black-hearted evil or Brave-hearted hero). Who I Am would be better as exclusive to the true ending only because it shows Shadow knows and has embraced who he is, and he won't let Black Doom or anyone change that.
Honestly, that's a pretty good take in your comment. I really like that idea for Shadow's character development throughout the game, would've given the Devil Doom final boss more weight and impact. As for the intro, I did edit the audio to make it sync so well. I'm still pretty proud of that :D
Fuck yeah, i need a mod of that Reloaded gc mod with this version of the intro on it! It fits so well i could play to some friends and they wouldn't in a million years guess this isn't the real deal.
I had edited the song to match the finalized intro, and honestly I'm content with that. If anyone else wants to take a crack at that though, be my guest lol.
*shows Black Doom*
You have made me
*shows Commander Tower*
You can't change me
*shows Dr. Eggman*
_You don't know me_
Now I can't unthink it everytime I hear it
Wow. That's fantastic
Not a shadow of who i want to be
*Shows Sonic*
@@jayck7686 At this point, It ain't no coincidence. The intro was made totally to sync with the song all along.
@@jayck7686 this person really put effort into this.
This fits better than I expected. I think the song should have played when Shadow fought Devil Doom tho.
Agreed, the song really highlights Shadow's relationship with Black Doom in a way.
That woulda slapped

This is more fire than all the arson Shadow should have been charged for.
(I.E, REALLY FIRE)

Yeah it could've fit really well for the Devil Doom final boss
That sounds like a huge excuse to shelve an awesome song. A company can't rework the intro to fit a song?

God D A M N why this wasn't in the final version.

Sonic almost dies
It would be sick if you use the beta intro of the game and use this song
