How to play the drums. For this week's lesson we have got a cool groove and drum fill for intermediate level players. The beat has got a displaced snare on the 'a' of beat 1, giving it a cool feel, and the fill is made up of hertas and 32nd notes.

Hahahaa.... I love watchin you slow down and practically break your brain when "counting it out" for us, only because I totally do the same thing when learning a new groove or fill... gives me hope LOL!! Keep em coming bro, great stuff. Learning your lessons are awesome and they always spawn into other grooves from what I hear or feel in them! Peace!
I think this is one your better lessons Alex! I like the beat with the ghost notes - very funky. And oh ,that Phil is killer.

Groove and fill sound delicious man, I'm not anywhere near playing that fill at its faster tempo, but I can tackle the slower, and it still sounds righteous. Love these lessons man 👊

I record into a Roland R16, and then mix it in GarageBand. Really simple setup. 😄

Actually I commented too early. I had only watched the beginning at that point. But it wasn't the groove so much as the fill. Now that I watched it, yeah intermediate.
